First start in 2 years.

I always thought he was alright. I guess we probably had the best Champo CM pairing in Grant and Clats so he was always going to be 'first back up'.

We always have his Reading winner👏

It would make sense to bring him in since we are very light in CM. If Morsy or Howson get crocked we are in trouble.

Yes it would but there is little chance of him coming back. He will be on a premier league wages which we won’t be able to afford and that’s even if he wanted to return to a Club that sold him.

We should be exploring other options then, I think this position is a bigger concern than the left side of defence.

while I think our midfield is a massive cause for concern - I don't think forshaw is the answer.
Not sure Howsen is either like but that's probably another thread.

I don't think a guy who's on big money and has started one game in two years is the answer.

We do actually need to be looking a bit longterm. Howson is getting on and in his final year. So a replacement is arguably needed now but definitely next summer.

I was in the North Stand that night.

Reading players falling to their knees.

The distant thud of Sean Dyche dropping his pork pie.

Absolute scenes.

We badly needed that goal as well, really good finish by forshaw and we sold him for a profit despite being permanently on the bench behind Leadbetter and Clayton

Forshaw was a weird one, couldn't get near the team in the Champo then was our best midfielder in the Prem, he had some impressive games.

He was briefly linked with an England call-up that season wasn't he.

The way we're setup now -- and who knows what that is he'd give us some much needed DM experience...do we actually have any?
