Some slightly odd opinions on this thread (IMO ).

He was very good that promotion season, unlucky that the Leadbitter/Clayton partnership was so strong and rarely unavailable. He was first reserve for them though and when he did play he slotted in seamlessly. I'd say he was better on the ball than either of them and linked up better with Ramirez.

Definitely not the answer for us even if he was available and we could afford his wages. He's not a Warnock player, not really a DM either. Deep lying playmaker rather than a destroyer which is what we're lacking. Definitely not suited to playing in a midfield under orders to treat the ball like a hot potato.

To say he's been out for two years, the lad has not lost a step. Always been a fan of his. That winner against Reading is one of my top 10 Boro moments.
