Apparently the drivers asked the stewards to be tougher with penalties.Penalties are so inconsistent this year, other lap one incidents which were way worse went unpunished

He was 14 seconds behind George after his final pitstop. On fresh mediums he got him on the final lapDidn't see it: but noticed Ham went from 18th to 4th. How good is he? Probably the best ever
Holy ship! Man he really is the GOAT. And that means he beat Russell in the 3 years they were together. Despite running experimental set ups for 2 of those yearsHe was 14 seconds behind George after his final Pitstone. On fresh mediums he got him on the final lap
Russell still finished over 20 points ahead and should have been far more if not for the spa disqualification. He definitely had the edge on him this seasonHoly ship! Man he really is the GOAT. The disqualification was justified so shouldn't come into the conversation really.Russell still finished over 20 points ahead and should have been far more if not for the spa disqualification. He definitely had the edge on him this season
It was justified but it was something the driver had no control over, or had any significant advantage due to it.The disqualification was justified so shouldn't come into the conversation really.
22 points and 1 place ahead. On average less than 1 point per race weekend. I think we have different measures of what constitutes significantIt was justified but it was something the driver had no control over, or had any significant advantage due to it.
But even without those points, he had a significantly better season than Hamilton did
Against a driver like Hamilton that is a significant amount, plus he also out qualified him in 3/4 of the races this season as well.22 points and 1 place ahead. On average less than 1 point per race weekend. I think we have different measures of what constitutes significant
Not really, like I said less than 1 point per race weekend.Against a driver like Hamilton that is a significant amount
No points awarded for qualifying last time I looked.plus he also out qualified him in 3/4 of the races this season as well.
He was disqualified because his car was underweight having only stopped once. For his car not to be underweight he would have needed to stop again meaning with the time lost he wouldn't have won anyway. And without the mistake made by the team in spa that caused the DQ, it would have been over 50 points
Regardless of how you want to word it, Russell is just a better driver at the moment, that’s just a fact. Not really, like I said less than 1 point per race weekend.

If you have two drivers and you know one is leaving through their choice, who is going to get the best service from the company and the greatest attention to detail, calls, needs and opportunity ....... hmm its a tough one and no mistakeRegardless of how you want to word it, Russell is just a better driver at the moment, that’s just a fact.
In the same car to out qualify a team mate 3/4 of the season is huge
Even if Russell did pit in spa that’s still a second place at worst and a further 18 points, he lost at least a second place and another 18 points in Silverstone with a reliability issue which again was nothing to do with the driver. The fact he only finished 25 points ahead doesn’t really reflect how much better Russell actually was this season
I assure you the teams looks at more parameters than points when assessing their drivers
This isn’t the first season Russell has beat HamiltonIf you have two drivers and you know one is leaving through their choice, who is going to get the best service from the company and the greatest attention to detail, calls, needs and opportunity ....... hmm its a tough one and no mistake
Not in the context of comparing Russell vs Hamilton they don't. One of them is their No.1 driver next season, the other one is leaving. A better measure of their respective abilities will come next season I would imagine.I assure you the teams looks at more parameters than points when assessing their drivers
