Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Not in the context of comparing Russell vs Hamilton they don't. One of them is their No.1 driver next season, the other one is leaving. A better measure of their respective abilities will come next season I would imagine.

Not in consecutive seasons he hasn't. Lewis had 59 points on George in 2023. If someone thinks George has been significantly better than Lewis this season because he put 22 points on him I'd love to hear their description of 2023. Like I say, let's see what happens next season when George has the responsibility of being No.1 driver and Lewis has a team that is fully behind him.

If you have two drivers and you know one is leaving through their choice, who is going to get the best service from the company and the greatest attention to detail, calls, needs and opportunity 🤔 ....... hmm its a tough one and no mistake
Issues with the car/team cost Russell an absolute minimum of 36 points from Silverstone and Spa alone. Hamilton never had those issues this season.
Neither driver got upgrades before the other one at any point throughout the season, they had identical cars minus set up.

You can’t just blame that on Russell having the better season, especially when it’s not the first time Russell has beaten him

They have identical cars, you literally couldn’t get a better opportunity to compare them than the time they are in the same team

Identical cars as on they're both made by Mercedes 🤣. Lewis has been a guinea pig this season and given experimental set-ups week after week.
In 2022 he was, but which races did that happen in 2024? I can’t remember any

Hmm Hamiltons car was a dream for him all season, no separate issues for him, only poor Russell had gremlins, you must be right.

Like when Hamilton lost to rosberg, a lot was down to luck. From what I read in f1 last year Russell had a lot of bad luck. He felt he performed better than the year before. There’s a lot more nuance to it than headline figures you are keeping it too.

Hamilton is the goat, but he isn’t the best Hamilton anymore

22 points and 1 place ahead. On average less than 1 point per race weekend. I think we have different measures of what constitutes significant 🤣
Given Hamilton was running experimental set ups all season, makes the word "significant" look even weaker. I notice (despite two of the three seasons Lewis was running experimental set ups) he ended up outscoring Russell over the course of their partnership

Start showing then and you won’t get the responses you are
Patronising as ever👍

If the end of season points all that counts then it’s Russell 2 and Hamilton 1
Well if you're taking 3 seasons of them driving in the same team into account then it's actually Hamilton 697 points and Russell 695 points.

But regardless of all of that, today's race confirmed why Hamilton is still a better driver than Russell. George started 10 grid places ahead of Lewis. There were no Safety Cars. Lewis beat George. 🤷‍♂️

You know seasons work in isolation don’t you?

I think he was making the point about Lewi running excitements for two of those three seasons. And still finishing ahead of Russell points wise. It was a response to the slightly silly notion that Russell is better than Hamilton when, no, clearly and empirically, no

Russell still finished over 20 points ahead and should have been far more if not for the spa disqualification. He definitely had the edge on him this season
I don't know why you are STILL trying to add a deserved disqualification on. Because that's how the sport works. Interesting you keep mentioning that AND ignoring the experimental set up's that Lewis was using. It's almost as if you are picking and choosing the parts of the season you mention.

Let's hope so would love him to win his 8th championship, can't see it though..
I imagine Hamilton has been brought into Ferrari not only for his driving, but his input and engagement to try to stop the alarming number of own goals and daft decisions the team seems hell bent on making every season.

Just pointing out the DQ was nothing to do with the driver and the fault of the team, and cost him minimum second place.

But which races in 2024 was Hamilton made to use experimental set ups? I know he did the last two years but don’t remember it happening in 2024
