50 percent of tomorrow’s squad will be under 23s

There are plenty of 1st team players on the fringes who can start without us needing to field a whole team of U23s.
 
Wood, Wing, Coulson, Spence, Roberts.

5 players who won't start in the league bar injuries but are in the first team, if none of them have Covid, I'd expect all 5 to start.

Roberts is the question mark, obviously.

Yes the bits I've seen of him he lookdd out of sorts, not knocking the lad, hopefully a totally different ball game starting

Exactly. I'm quite looking forward to seeing the team. Some fringe players like Wood, Wing, Coulson and Browne (if they're Covid free) mixed in with regulars and kids. There's no pressure on this game and will be a good opportunity for some to show what they can do, and some invaluable experience for the kids.
 
Looking forward to see how some of them get on, Jones in midfield and I'd like to see Burrell up front, maybe Folarin will show us why he's been involved in a few first team squads recently.
 
Let’s face it it’s all about getting as many as possible fit for Birmingham, we were always going to field a weaker side anyway we just have a bigger excuse to play younger players . It would be great to see young lads stand out especially goal scorers .

He wants to compete and doesn't think it will do anyone any good getting whacked so he won't want to field a team that is too weak.

Think we can safely say if Roberts doesn’t start he will be gone early next week. No reason for him not to start the game if he is to remain a boro player for the second half of the season.
