5 subs in prem next season.

I was very against it when it was first introduced, but I actually don't mind it now.

Wouldn't be upset if it was introduced in to the Championship again, assuming we're still in it.
Would certainly help some of our squad players get more game time.

Klopp will be happy. I don't care what any of them say it definitely helps the bigger and better squads. These clubs have subs that would walk into the majority of other prem sides.

I can can see Dyches issue. You look at his bench and ability to use 5 and look at Peps or Klopps. They have genuine game changers.

The chances are they won't use 5. Most don't use 3 unless it's one or two for a bit of time wasting.

Warnock hardly ever used the full allocation during lock down.

I'm not fussed either way. I doubt we have 5 that Wilder would trust to bring on. He seems to make the same 1 or 2 every time. Then one for time wasting (Sol😂)

I'm not sure what to think about extra subs. I'm thinking it gives an advantage to the big clubs with star studded squads.
There was a small study done on this but i can't find the report now,. The conclusion twas that actually it probably slightly favours the lesser teams as they can get more fresh legs on to ease the burden of chasing shadows for 90 minutes, whereas the big clubs are probably replacing like for like in terms of quality which doesn't necessarily give them any advantage (although it does of course give them a fresh quality player on the pitch)

That may well be the case but I’m sure someone posted on here not too long ago that Chelsea brought on something like two hundred and fifty million quids worth of players when there’s only three subs allowed.

Their subs running down the side of the pitch at the Riverside frightened me.

Hopefully if McGree is back it increases the options a little. At the moment he changes the strikers and that's just about his only option other than maybe rotating Bola and Taylor.

I can see no reason why the clubs who voted against it last time would have changed their minds?

One can only imagine they have been "influenced" in some way.

As plenty have already said, Klopp & Guardiola will find something else to whinge about now that they believe to be unfair and/or unsafe as long as it works in their favour.

Time for the big clubs to hoover up more of the talent. YAY!

Why don’t we just have an 11 for attack and 11 for defence and play attack v defence for 10 x4.5 minute slots per half (advertisers dream = more money) alternating who attacks and who defends for each slot.? 11 subs for each set of players of course. No slide tackles, no blasters from close range etc.

Or we could just go back to the champions going into a straight knockout no seeds European Cup competition, 2nd and 3rd into UEFA cup competition straight knockout no seeding and FA & league cup winners into CWC competition straight knockout no seeding. Hey presto, fewer games, less stress on the bodies of the poor little darlings so no need for 5 subs, just 3, on the bench each game, including a gk. Oh hang on…..that’s less ££ for the big clubs that everyone wants to see ad infinitum, and no chance for Winston Bogarde to get rich going nowt.

NB. Portions of this post may be dripping in cynicism and sarcasm

becoming a circus if it wasn't already, suits the clubs with big quality squads being able keeping players happy

Absolutely farcical changes the whole dynamics of football. Hopefully it will fail
Sadly it won’t. I agree it can only help the likes of those clubs fortunate enough to,have a string of internationals on the bench. I can see them also wanting to expand their squads too no doubt paying obscenely large amounts of money for more international, standard players. The gap grows wider still.
