.

We do have our share of knuckle dragging idiots with no sense of perspective but I think it's the way that the Newcastle fans almost without exception, have not only turned a blind eye to the murderous regime but have openly embraced it.

I think it is fair to say they really have got their club back.
i mean most teessiders turn their nose up at working for SABIC, and constantly protect them being in our area dont they.

the ownership regime from saudi doesnt bother me in the slightest. people are just trying to be woke.

I think so too. Feels like PSG have sort of missed their time, the big players are all either gone or going. Reckon Newcastle and Milan will progress.
They have been making pretty astute, strong signings the last two summers to be fair. Players like Skriniar, Ugarte, Hernandez, Dembele this Summer, Soler, Mendes, Vitinha last Summer, plus getting the likes of Messi, Neymar, and Ramos astronomical wages off the books, they're probably gonna have a ton of flexibility financially without those.

I think it’s fair to say that right back to the Keegan era when Newcastle first started spending big under John Hall that the Geordie supporters have not cared where the money came from as long as it came. But that’s no different to most fans everywhere these days.

With regard to the Saudis, the average Newcastle fan has no control or choice over who owns the club. Just like fans of every other club.

What I think will happen though is that the other money clubs will soon find ways to match and exceed Newcastles power in the market so in the long run whilst Newcastle will undoubtedly be a very rich club with a strong team it is not a given they will start to dominate the trôphies.

It’s a great draw. Big guns to play and not the likes of that team from the back end of Syldavia or FC Hurdygürgling.

Jealous. Although obviously I hope they get hammered every match.

What a great draw, and decent cities to visit for those lucky enough to be able to afford it. They have lots of season ticket holders so it's not going to be easy for them to get tickets.

I fail to understand how we can hark at Newcastle's CL group draw - what a group!! NUFC are not going to win the Champions League this year, but what an opportunity to test themselves against some top teams. Even if they come away from the group stage with zero points, they have some fantastic cities to get away to, plus Sid James Park is going to be bouncing on those CL nights.

Good luck to them, they're going to have a helluva ride over those 6 games.
