It was going to be tough for them whatever. I think the Napoli, Real group is tougher.

I visited Dortmund's ground over the Summer: I'd love to see a match there. I think they're allowed terracing this year too.

We do have our share of knuckle dragging idiots with no sense of perspective but I think it's the way that the Newcastle fans almost without exception, have not only turned a blind eye to the murderous regime but have openly embraced it.

I think it is fair to say they really have got their club back.

Did it really justify the main headline on Tyne Tees news? At least Look North kept it in the SPORTS section of the show!

Then just incase you missed it Newcastle have drawn three other teams in the Champions league that are going to absolutely wipe the floor with them ... (ok maybe the reporter didn't go that far) 🤣

I would say though that from talking to Geordies and Boro fans, your average Geordie loses all sense of reality when it comes to football, your average boro fan is a bit more of a realist or pessimist depending on how you want to judge it.

As I have said before, this era for Newcastle will have a Lance Armstrong style big dirty * next to it.

Exactly this. It’s the wilful blindness and hypocrisy that actually boils my blood more than the actual ownership. Loads to say about the ethics of Mike Ashley but the Saudis? Not a problem.

I think so too. Feels like PSG have sort of missed their time, the big players are all either gone or going. Reckon Newcastle and Milan will progress.
