There's at least one team in each group that haven't had a league to play in for at least one of the last few seasons. With all due respect to the teams in England's group, its a real waste of time them being on the same pitch as England, other than Northern Ireland, who still aren't close to the same level.

It's good to see the team being so professional in these games, though. But it's a good job that they've got a 4 nations tournament with Germany, Spain and one other (hopefully USA) coming up before the Euros because England haven't played against any decent sides for over half a year and their record after the World Cup against teams in and around their level is really poor.

I've got tickets to the last few stages of the touenament next year, so I'm hoping this coach has what it takes to get them over the final hurdle to winning a trophy. But it's impossible to tell with these kind of games.
 
Even more remarkable than 20 goals is 64 shots. The ball is normally only in play for around 60 mins, so that’s better than a shot every minute!
 
Totally embarrassing....these kind of score lines highlight how far the womens game has got to go to be anything like a genuine viewing option...
10 years I reckon.....before it breaks through into the psyche of everyone...

It's not embarrassing, there are some top Women's teams around the globe and the game is getting better and better. Obviously the women's game isn't as advanced as the mens game in certain countries, so there will be loads of countries around the world that are just embracing the game, like any early doors in sports, and they can barely compete. That doesn't mean anything is embarrassing about the result or the effort the Latvia women put in
 
I think a massive flaw in the woman’s game is the goal, 8 foot high and 24 feet long is too big for a woman goalkeeper , generally woman arnt as tall or agile as a man .
reduce it to 6 feet high and 18 feet wide and make it their own sport .

How is it even possible to score 4 goals in 4 mins? It would take a few mins to pick the ball out of the net and trundle up to the halfway line 4 times😂

The women scored twice as many goals as England men did against a country that has a population 56 times larger than San Marino.

They beat them 10-0 in the first fixture too.

Ireland beat Georgia 11-0 yesterday.
Northern Ireland beat North Macedonia 11-0, then beat them 9-0 in the second fixture.
Belgium beat Armenia 19-0 last week
Norway beat Amernia 10-0 today.

I'm not one who sees these matches as pointless, but they're not something to celebrate, double figure results are all too common in women's international football right now.
It's all growing pains though as the countries getting beaten by the scoreline are usually ones you'd expect to currently have invested little in the development of the women's game.
The scorelines are far less ridiculous when you have countries of a similar level of investment and development playing each other.
 
The real issue here is that I couldn't get my daughter to athletics because of the inadequate arrangements around parking etc at The Keepmoat. They obviously aren't prepared for more than 3000 fans at any one time. Couldn't get anywhere near the stadium and had to turn around .
