Thy are minimum terms. not sure why they are different to be honest as they were in it together and both blamed each other

based on their histories and lack of remorse i would be very surprised if we hear from them again.

Hasn't made killers think twice in any country I've ever heard of that still has capital punishment!

I know what you're saying, but the Malkinson case - where DNA evidence was (as far as I understand) not acted upon , and he spent years after still in jail - make me feel that shouldn't happen
I don't think I could ever support the death penalty - although some certainly deserve it

Yeh thats were the police and cps have to be 100% and honest or they should have their day in court

Not so. They were sentenced to life imprisonment with minimum terms before they can be considered for release.

After those minimum terms it's up to the Parole Board to decide if they no longer present a danger.

I disagree, capital punishment will not make killers or perspective killers think twice in any way whatsoever.

Miscarriages of justice are more common than they should be, and the risk of executing innocent people is abhorrent.

The Judge has added some very poignant sentencing remarks (and no doubt more than was reported). These will be provided to the parole board along with a host of other evidence, but will carry substantial weight and I suspect, reading between the lines, that the female will never be released.
