21.30 train out of Huddersfield cancelled

Transpennine have cancelled 25 full services tomorrow, and cut short 10 more. Thankfully mine to/from Liverpool are still running (so far!) but they'll be heaving with all the extra passengers from the cancelled services.

They are truly the most shambolic train operator.
Yup, and that's a very competitive title!

Saturday was the first home game where I've been able to get the coach home afterwards, thanks to the new National Express timetable. Quicker than the train, more comfortable, cheaper, and the damn things actually run when they say they will. I would have spent about a grand with TPE getting to Boro home games this season and now that money's going to National Express instead.

Now 34 cancellations and 15 major alterations.

mmmmmmm, was going to train over from Manchester to Saltburn when we come over for our holiday at Christmas but thinking better of it now.

Land at Manchester mid morning from New York then train to Saltburn, and train back again to fly home.

Will look at coaches now I reckon.

Yeah we are booked on a train from Saltburn to Manchester Airport on Thursday morning so we can fly off on holiday on the afternoon. Waiting for them to cancel our train so have plans b c & d all on stand by but we really could do without the chew!

It's not helping that ASLEF have (yet another) overtime ban in place till Saturday. It's a shambles that train companies have to rely on drivers working overtime to fulfill its services. This is occupation where there should be no overtime, the company should offer a service based on how many staff they actually have FFS!

My train to Huddersfield has been cancelled after I spent 15 mins with the trainpal agent getting the trains changed. Unsure if we will go might just do full refunds not worth the chew on this is. Shame

It is a pizz-take.
If its any use - in future, NEVER EVER use Trans - Pennine. They are a complete schit-show. Whenever I travel now, even if it takes two hours longer and involves using local Northern or East Coast Trains - I wouldnt factor their services in to wipe my nose on.
It may be possible to go Huddersfield-Sheffield, then Cross Country or Northern.
Dont know what the Northern Services are like out of Huddersfield.
Flippin schitt.

Did the Government or another train operator take over this franchise. Complete shambles and questions need to be answered.
