I know some of us curse him a bit but it wouldn’t surpe if the same people end up blaming Warnock when he’s gone if we sell him and he comes good
It's been widely reported all over the internet. Why make out like oneboro is the fountain of all knowledge?Been reading one Boro have you.
So... off to Wolves then?He plays like a headless chicken, very little end product when playing forwards and an average at best full back, the lad has pace - that’s about it!

To be honest, I’d snap anyone’s hand off for half that IF there was a decent sell on clause inserted.
I've heard we've enquired about him.. how true that is I couldn't say. It's bee a pretty consistent thing the past few weeks and a few folks on twitter saying a deal had been done Friday afternoon. It would be nice if it worked out.. who knows? Does it make it more likely now a deal for Saville has ben done? Are they waiting to sign his replacement first? Is there anything in it with Jed Wallace?

I wouldn't.
It's not like a club would agree to giving us 60%, 70% of their future fee. Much more likely to be 10-20%. Which then means you're waiting around for them to sell him for £25m+ to get the £2.5m sell on to get you back up to the original £5m anyway.
1 in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. The full fee now could be the difference for boro getting 1 extra player i the squad this season. That 1 player could be the difference for promotion and the riches that brings.
I think I'd genuinely take £1m, from what I have seen I don't think he will make it above championship levelWhilst I don’t disagree with any of that, I guess the point I’m making is that I don’t believe he is worth £5 mill or anybody would pay anything like that for him. And I don't think we’d miss him if we sold him for 2.5 mil.
Obviously, I hope that I’m proven wrong on that because I do want us to get £££ and I want the lad to succeed, but I saw far more problems with his game last season, than potential. Was a big fan when he broke into the Woodgate team but as last season progressed, I felt he went backwards.

20yo over six foot 22 starts this season many of which he has performed very well in an unfamiliar role further up the pitch. 16 sub appearances where I think he's under performed. He moved from Fulham to prove himself feeling his progression was being hampered/limited by the Sessegnon's boys possibly being being slightly ahead of him at the time or perhaps just favoured more. He burst onto the scene under Woodgate and might quite rightly think that he is too good to be on the bench under Warnock. Clash of personalities perhaps? Just because his face didn't fit at Fulham or he was there at the wrong time doesn't mean that he wasn't worthy of a place there. He came to boro and started well, very well. It could be he feels he will be valued or better utilised at another club. Whilst I am a huge fan of Warnock's he's certainly not backwards in coming forwards and if he feels he should be at a different club at this stage and funds generated could be better utilised on a different kind of player.. well it could be as simple as setting the price and letting him go.Whilst I don’t disagree with any of that, I guess the point I’m making is that I don’t believe he is worth £5 mill or anybody would pay anything like that for him. Ryan Sessegnon moved to Spurs for £25m and Djed Spence certainly has the potential to reach that level. Some players are more suited to the prem than they are the Championship. £5m for a quality wingback in the prem is absolute peanuts. Well worth the gamble. If he gets game time in the prem his ticket price goes up, if he proves himself (like against spurs) further still. Worse case scenario he has a few stop/start seasons in the prem.. goes out on loan and justifies a £5m transfer away. No brainer. No point having a jewel in the champo when you are lacking in other areas of the pitch. In defence we are 100% sorted, we don't have a great need for a possible prem level wingback.. especially if we're not playing wingbacks.
It's the new game in the premier league. Fast technical fulbacks. Dare I say wasted in out team.. maybe.
£5m please
£5m is absolutely buttons for a prem team and he's 20 years old roll the dice and see where those driving runs and crosses go in a team with premier leaguer quality..I think we see a different player and the reality is probably somewhere between our two opinions of his performances and abilities.
