A wind up in what regard? Too much or too little for him do you mean?

I've been as underwhelmed as the next man by him, but there's no doubt about it he does have some of the attributes to make him a good player.

Personally as frustrating as he is I'd be mindful of giving up on him just yet, it was only last season that Tav started to prove his worth. The season before that even Fry was frustrating some who probably would have sold him and now those people think he's great. I'd give Spence another year to develop, unless we got a ludicrously high offer.
 
I think you're buying £5m of potential and he could quite easily be worth significantly more than that if he develops over the next few years - its obvious he's got a lot of natural ability.

But there's no guarantee that he will of course.
 
It's definitely based on 'potential' and not current ability. I would sell him in an instant at 5mil.

That said it's probably structured over various clauses. I would hope we at least add a sell on clause.

I don't think Warnock is a 'fan'. I think it's was the Bristol City defeat when he said Spence 'forgot everything in the first 10 mins that they worked on all week😂' . That's just one of many comments.

That said add a decent sell on clause. He would only need a half decent season at a mid or lower prem club and he'd be worth 4 times that.
 
He plays like a headless chicken, very little end product when playing forwards and an average at best full back, the lad has pace - that’s about it!
 
Would take that for him. Nothing against the lad but I’m not convinced by him but would wish him well in the game if he got a big move 👍
 
Barely offered anything last season, seems to have regressed, isn't rated by the manager, one of our signings plays where he does.

I'd take it if offered.

If that pays for an Argentinian wonder kid would any of us complain?
 
I think he may be worth every penny of that fee to a Prem club who is contemplating about £150 M dropping into their coffers in the oncoming season.
 
He had a good debut season and has since struggled, so common in young footballers. And he is young. Don't write him off after a season in a mediocre side.

Dont give Warnock any money to spend. So far good business this year summer. Decent pros in for next to nithing and the type of players any manager coukd work with. Warnock wont be here next season but spence, coulsin should be. Young, talented but point to pove. Move on more dead wood like Howson if possible and keep hold of players that could either help us push on, or net us some cash further down the line
