A brilliant day out! We had to leave early due to Weller, but wish we had stayed. P and E is a cracking venue and ideally placed for gigs.
They also hire it out for band video shoots too which I was a part of a couple of weeks back.
I've seen quite a lot of the local bands due to the fact I shoot/work with a lot of local musicians and bands/artists. I shot The Redroom and also Andrew Cushin at Hardwick Live a couple of weeks ago and both were brilliant, lead singer from Redroom has an amazing voice by the way, both on at...
Absolutely love Weathership and everything that Jim does musically. Have worked with him on photo shoots for his releases and I am in the video above :-)
Saw them Saturday at Stockton Calling and thought they were amazing!
Very sad news, I knew of Dave through gig photography and I have covered a few gigs at The Westy, sadly none of his, I didn't know him personally though. A big loss, condolences to, and thoughts with, his family and closest friends. RIP.
For me it was a case of wanting more functionality than the NHS ones can provide. I shoot a lot of gigs and so the music setting is great for me.
You can get a no obligation free consultation with Boots too, but sure there will be other providers too, I think specsavers also do them.
I went through Boots Hearing Care in the Middlesbrough branch initially, then switched to Wellington Square branch later. I bought a set of Phonak digital hearing aids and have never looked back. They were around £2k at the time but are brilliant, so much better than NHS one's I had previously...
I've read all of the above posts and agree with about 95% of the advice, personally I am a Nikon guy as that's what I started with and I've just added kit as I've gone along, it all works well for me. I am still DSLR rather than full frame as, for the type of work I do, I don't see a massive...
It was Mike McGrother of the Wildcats of Kilkenny fame, it was a joint project highlighting suicide. Mike played lead and sang, there were two sessions of around 250 voices of normal folk not singers filling the church that day, this recording is the result. Gets me every time, just amazing...
Really looking forward to this years Twisterella and pleased to have a photo pass. I'm fresh from shooting Gathering Sounds a couple of weeks ago which was brilliant and I'm just starting my Spotify trawl of bands I don't know.
I'm already familiar with the local acts such as Tom Joshua, Luke...

If the churchyard you visited is St Mary's on the Green at Norton, here's your answer....
"At last I have the definitive answer to this mystery headstone. The explanation was published...
Pretty much all of the above, have some mates in bands/promotion/venues, I get the usual event invites on FB plus shouts from other gig photographers too, I'm pretty sure a mate was asking ages ago about setting this up but cant remember who now. Great idea if it was well maintained and up to...
Cheers Erimus, much appreciated, sounds like you have a great job, let me know if there is an option to get a fully insured professional photographer on site some time, would love to get some shots in that environment.
