A brilliant day out! We had to leave early due to Weller, but wish we had stayed. P and E is a cracking venue and ideally placed for gigs. They also hire it out for band video shoots too which I was a part of a couple of weeks back.

Very sad news, I knew of Dave through gig photography and I have covered a few gigs at The Westy, sadly none of his, I didn't know him personally though. A big loss, condolences to, and thoughts with, his family and closest friends. RIP.

For me it was a case of wanting more functionality than the NHS ones can provide. I shoot a lot of gigs and so the music setting is great for me. You can get a no obligation free consultation with Boots too, but sure there will be other providers too, I think specsavers also do them.

It was Mike McGrother of the Wildcats of Kilkenny fame, it was a joint project highlighting suicide. Mike played lead and sang, there were two sessions of around 250 voices of normal folk not singers filling the church that day, this recording is the result. Gets me every time, just amazing...
