Twisterella This Saturday

Really looking forward to this years Twisterella and pleased to have a photo pass. I'm fresh from shooting Gathering Sounds a couple of weeks ago which was brilliant and I'm just starting my Spotify trawl of bands I don't know.

I'm already familiar with the local acts such as Tom Joshua, Luke Royalty, Jodie Nicholson, Twist Helix and Church, Honey having shot them previously. Any suggestions from you folks as to who I should see from a point of view of being musically and visually interesting to shoot please? Thanks, Ian.

Lauran Hibberd is usually very colourful and quirky, also happens to be a great live act

Made a playlist here. All but one of the acts are featured.

For those going to Twisterella on Oct 9th.

Here is Another Spotify playlist to either help you plan your day or confuse you even more. Not picked my bands or planned route yet but note where last time we had a lot of jangly guitar bands this time around we have a lot of female fronted bands of the indie/punk ilk. That works for me as I thought some of the bands were a bit samey last time. Bit more diverse this time. Some good bands to catch although there is nothing in the heavy rock genre. May some will see that as a good thing though.

If you leave the playlist in the order I added the bands and use it in conjunction with the Clashfinder you will see I have started with first band on each satge and worked through to headliners befor moving to next venue. Fot instance first up at the Uni is HYYTS continuing through to The Howl and The Hum. etc etc Then on to Westgarth 1.

There is songs by every artist listed except We Tibetans who don't seem to be on Spotify. Saw them at Gathering Sounds and the were half decent live. Also I could only find Christmas songs by Benjamin Amos but it will give you a feel to what will probably be an acoustic show. The more songs I have by an artist the more I rate them.

Visually you will certainly get something from HYYTS lead singer, Adam.

Venus are a visually arresting all girl group.

One Nine are a boy girl duo and the girl drummer is pretty as well as excellent, so you might be able to get a good shot of them two that will be picked up by a publication.

What you want is a shot of a band rocking a packed crowd, so if you can get side on for retro video club downstairs in the Westgarth you will get that.

Thanks Asred, will work my way through that this week.

It's fairly easy getting stage side in Westgarth downstairs, shot there many times, thanks for your input Lefty.
