Its nostalgia - not just the Rock Garden. That Cramps pic is not at The Rock Garden (yes they played there).
I know a few people in The Clash pic.
The amount of people who claim to have gone to the Rock Garden is on par with the amount that claim to have been at Hartlepool in 86.
There's hundreds of fliers, gig pictures ( some of them mine), press cuttings in the FB RG group
I saw Carl Green at Philmores. I also saw a band called "Rules of Croquet" - anyone else remember them?Carl Green & The Scene!! I was only talking about them few weeks ago, bumped in to an old mate & we reminisced about gigs & times we saw them, got to know them & when they got us up on stage in town hall crypt to sing very bad backing vocals to the encore, Teenager in love. They gave us autographed copies of tea in China. My First & last performance Infront of an audience.
Unfortunately not.Are the posters and fliers etc yours, Roofie?
I know there is a wall at Base Camp that has many of the Middlesbrough Music Collective posters including those of No Means No and Buy Off The Bar.
Clem was keyboard player in Rules of Croquet, as in Mark Clemmit, BBC sports presenter.Unfortunately not.
I keep a collection of scrap book snaps and a catalogue of photos and images.

There was a hardcore "punk" band from Stoke called Discharge who became more well known than our version who played really fast & loud and got lumped (musically) on the metal side by some.
They certainly did, May 17th 1977. There's a picture of them doing so in the original post. I have a full set of shots from the Gazette that were taken at the gig.So did The Clash play the Rock Garden?? I've had conflicting opinions
