New England kit

One of the reasons I hate international football is because of the flag shaggers. But actually, looking at this hybrid that is probably closer to a Finnish flag than an English one, isn’t being a flag shagger kind of the point of international sport, so why aren’t those of you who support England outraged? I care about neither, it’s pathetic and mediaeval, but I don’t get how you can care about England and not care about this.

That's funny, although it'd be better with just the cross.

It's depressing this whole thing, that the Right is so desperate to stir the Culture War pot they'll descend to this. It's depressing Starmer has to weigh in too, but fair play to him in a way. Literally, don't give them ANY ammunition.

But if it had to happen, it should be taken head-on, because bottom line, the St George Cross has become a fascist symbol over the past few decades and needs to be outed as such. It's inextricably bound up with English nationalism and is beyond the pale. Ask yourself, have you ever seen a black person sporting it? No, because black people would see it for what it is.

Lets paint it pink , totally change its design and shape, so it looks nothing like it is and stick it back on a Boro shirt. Or what about the Eston Hills . Infant Hercules and all that ! Lets say an image of those in black had been on Boro shirts for 134 years but then it was replaced with a pink Silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Doesnt matter though does it , its only symbolism and means nothing.
