Wasn't that in a 4 though. Am hoping this formation sticks. Before Jones injury, I recall Ayling playing deeper down the right, feeding Jones the ball higher up and doing well.

I am hoping this formation changes as a good team today would have run us ragged as there was so much room down our wings so easy to get in on goal as the radio commentary said.Wasn't that in a 4 though. Am hoping this formation sticks.
As it stands:
Three points off Cardiff and Preston with a game in hand.View attachment 73273
We also have a better goal difference compared to both of them.
Preston's upcoming games are against those in the bottom half of the table, battling for their lives.
They finish the season against Leicester[Home] and West Brom[Away], so don't worry about them.
Three points against Brum and three at home to Blackburn, could see us only a matter of a few points off the top six with eight games to go.......
Could we.....?
Yes, I think particularly away from home don’t play out until we get our confidence2 long balls from Dieng in first 2 mins.
Change of approach?
Yes, he was a 7, tired badly I thought at about 60 mins, worked hard wnough but wasn’t particularly influential todayCant disagree with them
leaving MccGree out deliberate?
a solid 7 for me

But true.Bold statement that.
Perhaps I should have made that clearer for you.We don’t have a game in hand on Preston.
Perhaps I should have made that clearer for you.
That's why I pointed out we shouldn't worry about them - because they won't win their final games.
Or you maybe shouldn't have said we have a game in hand on them. That would have been clearer. And more factual.Perhaps I should have made that clearer for you.
That's why I pointed out we shouldn't worry about them - because they won't win their final games.
You mean you got it wrong?
"Preston's upcoming games are against those in the bottom half of the table, battling for their lives.

Means they have no chance of being a threat because all the clubs they face are having to battle to
stay up and their last two are against West Brom and Leicester - so they are no threat [Game in hand or not]
