I won't be renewing

It's been shocking on and off the pitch this season. Total PR disaster from the club this whole season ticket debarcle.

Wait till you all find out Steve Gibson offered all of Red Faction FREE season tickets for next season during discussions for reduced ticket prices. Apparently they never took the offer up as the reason for the initial protests was for the whole fan base they said. And that is direct from someone who is part of red faction

Iv not said anything previous but the club is becoming a joke.

And the drummer was offered pre match MOET for LIFE

I'm finding it difficult to believe this is true - I just can't believe that Gibbo could be so stupid
I personally find it hard to believe and if so how many fans have received this and at what cost. How long would it take to get out there. If it did happen and RF turned it down then well done to them, sound like hush money to me. No minutes taken at the meeting!!!

I too find this very hard to believe, would want it confirmed by a reliable source from the meeting such as Rob I think

Next we'll be getting told that he went on an expletive laden rant, against 2 senior managers of one of the biggest employers and landowners in the area.
Don't be silly. But I did hear he threatened to take RFs shoes - and obviously in winter this would be a bit uncomfortable......so they backed down 😳

I can believe it. Doesn't mean it is true but I can believe it.

There is a reason he demanded an immediate meeting with some specific people, offered pretty much nothing, no communication has come out to the wider fanbase and everyone has decided they can do nothing and moved on. It was to protect his reputation and income. He's done nothing to reduce costs for 99% of fans and got them to move on so something has been offered (and that could just be information/explanations) but the rest of the fans have heard nothing of it. It's far easier to appease a small number of people than a whole fanbase so would it be that surprising?

There was also talk of an NDA being required so if we haven't heard anything it could be because of that and saying "wait to hear from someone that was there" is pointless because it can't be discussed anyway.

I know that this is true as well sadly and fair play to RF for making a stand against that .

The thing that gets to me most in all of this, is that the club have just received circa £11m from the sales of Rogers, Crooks and Kavanagh, plus over £1m for Tav add-on (appearances) payment from Bournemouth.
Just 5% of that would cover the club's "increased costs" and no increase would have been necessary.
I don't think half a million taken from that very recent income would significantly impact on our Summer signings!

Blind arrogance prevailed.

Good to know it wasn't just me that heard this. As I said this came direct from someone within RF and they believed and even told Steve the group may not exist next season.

As for people wanting confirmation from Rob I don't think he will have done this infront of everyone during the discussion. So I would expect him to be unaware himself.

Aren't most games on sky TV next season?
yes. it is something like 5 championship games every weekend. all mid week. all bank holiday, all opening day, all closing day. all league cup. all live.

looks like they may be scrapping the red button in its current form and coming up with some sort of "red button" portal.

also there is a commitment to have more cameras at all games down to league 2 with a minimum commitment number. Think it is 2 cameras for league 2, 4 for league 1 and then whatever for us.

Great time to increase prices then. Pay more! even though you can legally watch it all on TV.

I’ve made the decision not to renew, 36 seasons as a season ticket holder. My Dad give his up a couple of years back for health reasons, I’ve kept mine but have been to 3 home games this season, 400 mile round trip for me. I’ve not enjoyed any of my visits this season, not just the football just the whole ‘match day’ experience is a bit rubbish if I’m honest. I can easily afford it, that’s not the problem, just the clubs stance on pricing has really made me think how out of touch they are with the ‘product’ they provide. You pay top money for any product or service you expect a certain level of something in return and trips to the riverside these days don’t provide it for the money they are charging in comparison to others. In general I enjoy visiting other grounds more, so I’ll get my Boro fix at away matches that are closer and I can get reasonably priced ticket for.
