When Lazarus feels his stern resolve draining away and his chance slipping through his hands he says aloud to himself "What would Chuba Akpom do?"Think he's one of those players who needs a cuddle and for the manager to tell him how good he is, and he's the best.
Sadly at Boro (don't know about Greece) he's had two managers who will tear a strip of you if you don't do EXACTLY what they tell you. This didn't suit him and drained all his confidence.
Carrick is completely different, seen his best role, and filled him to the brim with confidence.
Skill and ability has always been there it's just taken a rookie manager to fully understand how he ticks and how to get the best out of him.
Lazarus didn't even turn things around like Akpom has.......
You can't really say that about Wilder he was away on loan when he arrived, then did well at the start of this season. Warnock certainly didn't get anything out of himThink he's one of those players who needs a cuddle and for the manager to tell him how good he is, and he's the best.

Some people take longer to mature, I think he tried to mix it up physically too much, that probably worked at youth level, but in the man’s game he hadn’t physically developed to compete. Now he’s trying to use his technical ability and on top of that he’s gotten stronger to take the pushes and bumpsIt's genuinely one of the most amazing footballer transformations I've ever known. He continues to amaze me game after game. Brilliant footballer.
Why has it taken him this long to show his true ability?

This is the 1st goal for anyone that hasn't seen it yet.
Best player in the league by a mileChuba would be the first name on the team for is goals alone, but that’s only a fraction of what he’s bringing to the team right now, there can’t be a more all round effective player in the Championship. Who’d have thunk it.
Do you remember when Ravanelli scored 16 goals in a season?Chuba is class
Last player to score 20 goals in a season for Boro is ?Do you remember when Ravanelli scored 16 goals in a season?
Just watching efl highlights and chuba interview where it was mentioned the last boro player to score 20 league goals was probably Ravenelli. It was almost as they they'd done no research at all and were just guessing lol. Tbf to Chuba he did sort of correct him and mention Bernie.Do you remember when Ravanelli scored 16 goals in a season?
