Tories win local election in Normanby

I think one thing we can all agree on, creepy stalkers and all, is that this is exactly what the Tories want. Their MO is to spread division and hatred so they'll be happy with the petty arguing and people being called "stupid" stops os talking about the perilous and painful state they are leaving the country in.

We haven't talked about corruption, law breaking, gerrymandering, the brexit failures, the cost of living crisis, the attacks Aon asylum seekers, the huge amounts of strikes from disaffected and neglected workers because we are having petty squabbles.

Let's hang up against a common enemy: which is the Tories, rather than an unedifying playground squabble

Back on subject you consider it's acceptable to call a fellow poster sub human scum? What did erimus do to upset you?

I find it amazing that you and others think that it's acceptable behaviour. Then maybe not. Perhaps I should start to look at the bigger issues eh.

Could be that erimus has forgotten more about the Boro than ST even knows about us.

We play in red shirts. But that hasn't always been the case I seem to recall if @Erimus74 could help a brother out? Didn't we once used to play in blue and black stripes for our home kit many many many moons ago?

For me it's really about class, and unfortunately their are a number of people who feel they have done OK throughout life, had a decent job, that has paid well, bought a house, a car and perhaps have a relatively comfortable experience of financial life, perhaps they feel aspirational middle class and under the illusion of democracy feel the Tory establishment serve their interests in preserving the relative crumbs of what they have, rather than the nasty Labour Party who want to take it off you, and help and support all those others who don't deserve it, especially those people of a certain colour and certain level of wealth. Unfortunately, person made greed, corruption, and selfishness at all its various levels tends to win out across the world.

I don’t agree that this is an illusion of democracy. We have universal suffrage. It’s not perfect; both the control of mass media and FPTP work against the lower classes. Because of that, it is even more important that we use alternative platforms to argue the cause for removing this government. Castigating and denigrating those who would still vote Tory will only entrench them further, it’s counter-productive.
Engaging in calm and rational debate with relevant facts must be our way forward.

Instead of whining about someone's behaviour on a message board, let's get back to the real issue: which is the Tories. Can we agree that's more important than you being upset by a user name?

The problem with the Tory Party is that it's not getting close to any of its aims.

They're eroding individual rights, they've increased government intervention, they've weakened the nation, been fiscally irresponsible, free markets is worth another debate in itself as to whether they've ever been free and their poor economic policies have reduced people's dignity. And this has been going on since the late 70's.

Which he's already said as much.
They are done anyways, as mentioned they will lose the next general election, it's an absolute certainty. Just need to be patient and see what happens when the next government comes into power.

These threads are far more interesting if you have a few posters on "ignore" - because you have to guess what the other poster has said to upset the other so much.

A fine sentiment. However, port before luncheon is simply not acceptable sir. A bone dry fino, vermouth, even a crisp lager may be enjoyed.

Lads and lasses as Wee Gord said let’s stop this - it’s Christmas Eve - get off the board and spend sometime with the people you love and care for. Many have different opinions and you are gonna argue all day without agreement.

@BoroFur you will be pleased to know the traffic was a breeze - one of the easiest journeys yet - I’m off out to the pub.

Wee gord , let’s have a Christmas Eve beer and music thread a few drinks and some tunes. A bit like wartime the hostilities can recommence after Christmas.
