Fans would be understandably concerned right now.
We've got absolutely no firepower in our squad, we kick off in 13 days.

If one of the few concrete quality links we've had goes elsewhere, it's obviously going to put a downer on things.

We need strikers.
Wilder does not sound overly confident on our transfer efforts, it's not a surprise that fans won't either.

Lenihan and Giles are good signings, Steffen has the potential to be one, but we need far more than that.
 
I only think Tav will go if its his choice. Id imagine club are happy to keep him. Saying that, he has two years left on contract (?) I wonder if there has been any talk about extending. If he isn't interested then it could be a case of cash in now rather than let it get to last 12 months.

at least two prem players have said they want to come to boro it's been reported that we are waiting for the go ahead from their clubs.

personally I think it might have to do with the spence money. fully expect at least two new faces through the door in the next 7-10 days

my money would be on Adam Armstrong & Rodrigo Muniz

Ben Davies & Hamza Choudhury would make sense too..

Reported, doesn't mean it will actually happen.

If we signed those 4, I'd be happy, but the noises coming from Southampton are that they have absolutely no intention of loaning Armstrong out, but for some reason the national papers keep saying they will.
 
Nature of the transfer window. If you want established, experienced, top end championship quality players who are under contract then you either have to bid silly money or be patient. Funnily enough clubs are very reluctant to let these players go.

Which is why £10m for Tav is derisory. Can't see it being accepted or anything close to it.
 
I wonder if we’d see fry at the club if Ben Davies comes in . Can’t see fry accepting the bench and 2 CD in front of him so wonder if we’re expecting ti sell him

Ben Davies is off to Rangers, to replace Bassey who they’ve sold to Ajax for 20mil to replace Man Utd bound Martinez.

The transfer merry go round in full swing. Bassey is a good player but Surprised at the fee Ajax are paying. Brilliant Business for Rangers

Fry is more expendable than Tav for me. I'd be sorry to see him go, but I think Lenihan is an able replacement (if not an upgrade at this level, think Fry might be better suited to the prem) and CBs seem easier to bring in than attacking midfielders. Particularly back up ones.

If that’s what we’re holding out for he’s almost certainly going to leave, one of Bournemouth or Forest will pay that if they want him. Sadly think he will leave now.
