Mate, that’s so wrong. You’ve really got to stop following the people you do. They’ve dragged you down the rabbit hole. You go on about fear porn, but they’ve got you scared of the truth and the real science and media - you see it all as just a ploy to control us. It’s all just nonsense to keep us scared and controlled, in your eyes. Because that’s what they keep telling you. Can you see how you now don’t trust it and are scared of being controlled by the media and the science and ‘fear porn’. It’s you they’ve made scared, scared of knowing the truth. They pump you full of their ‘truth’ instead, and you do their work for them - spreading their message of climate change denial. Misinformation is big business these days. It’s so sad to see good people get taken in by it. Anyway, I genuinely hope you find your way out one day.

I’m on your side of the debate! My point was that all the massive changes are needed to slow down the rate of change, before we can even start to think about getting back to normal. Funky was talking about returning the climate to normal. We’ve gone too far for that to be realistic at the minute, it’s damage limitation now until science advances sufficiently to start turning back the damage (hopefully).

To be clear, I’m very much saying climate change is real and Funky has been dragged down the rabbit hole by bad faith actors in thinking it isn’t real.

I don’t get the 5g nanobot references aimed at me, unless you are a climate change denislist too?
 
It's still a case of MadDogs and english men I'm afraid for many of us. No sunscreen, or whatever, then just fry yourself until the ambulance comes to the rescue-- yes I've seen it all before.

I’m just not as gullible as some 😁 be honest, if you didn’t have access to tv, radio and news outlets would you really think there was much difference between now and when you were born ? I’ve seen droughts, big freezes, floods, the lot, they come an go - i remember in the 70’s when they started with all this they called it “global warming” then they altered it to “climate change” to cover all bases (very clever that one) we aren’t going to change anything no matter what we do - i say we party on dude 😁

Why be so dramatic?

We can't do everything instantly, but we can slowly transition with little impact to our lives, which will make a big impact on future generations. It might slow the sea level rising considerably, and might save 10-100 years, which is quite important considering most of the world lives by the coast. 99% of client scientists believe we've got a problem, largely caused by our own doing over the last 150 years or whatever. I don't know enough to prove them wrong, but I trust they're right, like I would any consensus of scientists with such a majority.

Some people are still going to get ****ed over, but it's better than 100x that amount.

At least if we buy some time it will give people the opportunity to move, but moving billions, far enough inland could take a hell of a long time.

You are gullible though, that’s the clever bit. They convince people into thinking the world is lying to them, and only they know the truth, and once they’ve got them (you) into that mindset you can dismiss everything that is reality because you believe you are one of the enlightened ones who has figured out the truth. Except it’s not the truth.

Sometimes I do envy you guys though, who believe all the worst bits of reality are just lies. It must be a nice headspace to be in. Ignorance is bliss.

Yes, I’d think there was much difference between now and even just a decade ago.
As somebody who studied meteorology and spent 23 years in a career than required monitoring it daily while being at the mercy of it, I saw first hand weather patterns changing and freak events becoming more frequent, over the course of just a matter of a years.
But yeah, if I’d not turned on the telly or read a newspaper it would have all passed me by.

Ah so you’re admitting the changes are not really noticeable 😃 btw did you know the months between April and October last year was the coldest recorded in Antarctica
