I buy the shirts every season no way would I have a sponsor on the shirts if I had the choice. That is true of course. But what of those that actually buy the shirts every season?

I’m sure there will be some company out there that would want to put their name on our shirts. We seemed to be quick to make the statement writing off the ticket sales for the Chelsea game and donating the money to charity. Not so quick to bat away the money from the gambling firms.Cant we just write off the gambling sponsorship - they wont be paying us up front for more than a season at a time?
Lets ask how much we get from people who gamble using gambling outfits [sponsors]?
Why cant we have a more creative approach to attracting sponsorship?
Do we have to prostitute ourselves to gambling?
No.
Hows about Boro being the first big club to revert back to playing without sponsors names on our shirts?
Gambling can cause real issues for peoples mental health - so why not go back to advertising John Players and Black Cat?
Both ruin peoples health and their lives.
Should be banned FULL STOP!

It is a genuine problem right now and I know loads of lads who really struggled through lockdown with gambling addiction. It’s everywhere!
Agree totally
Pizz em off - Boro taking money on the back of others addiction and misery.
No thanks.
Wonder if Red Faction could design a good quality T-Shirt or polo shirt as an ethical alternative? [TSte?]
Better still - a sweatshirt for winter.
Any decent clothing designers and manufacturers on T-side?
What about a good quality FMTTM sweatshirt Rob?
Are Stone Island and Canada Goose the equivalent of sponsors' logos? Asking for a friend.Yes.
I mean, when you think about it, why would anyone want to go around with a sponsors logo on their clothes if they didn't have to?
Because they're backed by dodgy states which is even more ethically immoral. If you notice, the majority of elite clubs don't have them. They have the money and clout to avoid them, in other words, where the ambitious mid-market clubs chase the highest buck.
What did you try?Oh well. I tried.
What did you try?
You tried to ask a question that has been answered many times over and for many years and not just with our own fans but can be evidenced with other clubs offerering sponsorless shirts and the rise of popularity in retro shirts, black out shirts and pre match/fan shirts.
