We look set to miss out on the play offs

There all the same we needed different options to watmore, coburn, sporar and we signed the same type of player and IMO are weaker options at present with or without form
I would say Connolly is similar to Watmore and Balogun is similar to Sporar. Better/Worse in some ways seems like a good idea. Two players for every position. Looks like we went for the best that was available, both still young, both improving .. season isn’t over yet.

Yeah I agree and feel both if giving the correct services will score goals.

We have to up our performances from the midfielders which will improve all aspects of the team as said the performances of the 3 as a pair have dropped off a little recently which has effected the full team.

.i have nothing against those two players other than they were not the signings we needed. You can dress it up all you like but the fact remains they have both been massive disappointments. It's the clubs fault for getting them on loan compounded by Wilders blindspot, starting a player like Connolly out of form, and not physically or mentally fit for the championship.
Do you not think the club tried other options in the notoriously difficult, limited January transfer window?
Sometimes reallity comes in to play.
Which other players do you suggest would have been mentally and physically fit and in-form?
Surely, players with those attributes would be settled in the squad of other teams?
Its fringe players and those without regular game time who are available in January.
Its not a question of "fault".
Real life isnt black and white.
Wilder came in after 17 games, with a team one point above Preston - who were in 17th place.
We were floundering like a ship holed below the water-line and going nowhere.
We had players constantly "injured" - either borrowing scooters or "in training".

Chris has inherited two below-standard goalkeepers.

There was a left-back crisis whilst after Warnock farmed our our best prospect to Forest - who could beat us in the play-offs.

Chris has taken us on the best FA Cup run in decades - beating two of the Premierships top sides.
Who can forget 10,000 at Old Trafford and young [Captain] Josh Coburn`s elation scoring the winner "Wallop!" against Spurs?
We`ve had sell-out crowds at almost every away game and had capacity crowds and near-sell outs at home.
We`ve got the best connect with club, manager and players for many a long year and their is genuine expectation and excitement throughout the club.

10,000 early bird tickets have been reportedly sold and we sit within a nats widget of the play-offs and the prospect of the Premier League!

What the hell do people want?
I suggest a dose of patience and a bit less of the "I want it now!" attitude.

Thankfully, Chris Wilder isnt Boris Johnson: the difference being when Chris says he will get the "job done" - he genuinely means it - and he will.
He doesnt need a red bus or raise false hopes.

Just everyone hang on and have a good moan when the seasons over.

Seems mad just to pay players off who are injured! I thought Darnell was due back April/May time. Ameobi was a flare up of a previous problem.. shame there’s been no sign of him.
Whats the difference between paying players what they are owed up to the end of their contract (?) and sitting on the treatment table being paid to sit on the treatment table?
They wont be denied what the club owes them according to their contracts.
These are not just any old injuries, so lets keep things in context.
Dont see a problem?

I just can't wait for next season already, I'm flabbergasted were even in the hunt, after cov away I honestly thought we'd be battling at the other end. Whatever happens this year, next year promises to be a cracker. I say that in the hope we still have Fry, Tav, Jones, McNair

Boro fans have two choices for the run in.
1. Getting behind the team, believing and trying to drive them over the line.
2. Sinking into negativity

I fear that the urge to default to no.2 is far too strong for a lot of Boro fans
I’m assuming by your username, you supported the Boro in 96, when the whole of Teesside were behind the team.

Scooter was last season, injuries we’re from Sam Morsy (maybe)

No, not at all. Not below standard, Lumley has had a few poor moments.

I don’t think we had the left back crisis when he was loaned out. Bola was fit and we were looking to bring in two players still. Then another after the window.

73 points looks the most likely that we’ll end on.. Plus it’s gonna go down to the wire!!

10 points over 5 games averaging 2ppg

3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss.. gonna be toight!
The own goals, deflections and gifts have dried up, Crooks has stopped scoring and it is pitiful just how limited our scoring options are.

It really says it all when Wilder perseveres with a player such as Connolly.

If Jones doesn’t fire there is precious little creativity.

I will be pleased to see Magree get a run in the team but I’m not sure how much he can do to reverse our downward spiral.

We’ve had our purple patch with Wilder and now It is hard to see where the next win will come from.
if we make the playoffs.. is it gonna be an asre in binns window job?

You see it as negative rubbish,I see it as a harsh likelihood.

Too bad if you don’t like it.
If you look at our season average (including warnock figures) then we make the playoffs. we finish top six based on results over all the other teams. Sure we may implode.. but we are more likely to make the playoffs than not.

It’ll be tight and it looks like it will go down to the wire!

I’d bet a fair sum that you are BoroMart.
Why have you changed name?

No, I will be happy though.

No.
1 point above 17th place Preston - we were floundering [after 17 games].

Warnock`s reign had more than a reasonable level of "injury" during "training" - before and after Morsy. We had no cover at left-back by a left back.

Neither Joe nor Luke have been regular first - team goalkeepers throughout their careers: [unless you count Luke`s 101 appearances in two seasons for Scunthorpe]?

Im not sure why fans talk about getting 6th place when it’s not unreasonable that we could snatch up to 3rd place, although Forest should really have that nailed down. Lots of twists yet.

Our problem is goal scoring. We have Coburn who has a knack of getting into positions and scoring. He’s got to get more game time. Balogun looks good when getting the ball facing goal, but needs to improve with his back to goal.
Connelly does a lot of running about but offers little. Sprorar seems to have given up.
Whatmore is non stop running but looks better as an impact sub. We’ve just got to click better up top. McCree might be that man to create and lay on a few chances

Tongue in cheek about Morsy.. are you saying Warnock’s choice of training took out his back four?
We had no cover at left-back by a left back.
I agree starting the season without cover for Bola was mad. We were looking at Jake Bidwell, Baba Rahman, Ciaran Brown, Kean Bryan, Robbie Brady. Let’s not forget Isaiah Jones at wingback came out of all this..
Free transfer, a good solid number 2
Free transfer, looked like a good prospect. He’s a decent keeper and an upgrade on Betinelli

I'm still sure we will be in the playoffs.

We're not as creative as we were and we will miss Crooks, but I'd rather have had this dip in momentum now than in the weeks ahead.

We have played good teams of late with a reason to fight hard.

Crooks might come back revitalised and we get to see McGree settle in.

Buckle up. Lots to play for 👍
