Budget putting them up to near on £14 for 20. Not much over £2 a go when I packed up many years ago! And what's the rate for vending packs per however many these days?
I try not to think about the cost. I still get through two packs a day. They'll either kill me or bankrupt me. I'm pretty much resigned to that.Budget putting them up to near on £14 for 20. I've tried giving up loads of times. And I don't smoke around other people if I can help it. These are my lungs mate. If I want to b*gger them up then that's my own business. That's why you seem so intent on blackmailing me, to feed your filthy dirty habit

My habit is nearly forty years old now. I wish that I could quit but whenever I've tried it's been hell for me. And it turns me in to a short tempered @rsehole and that makes me a right sod to be around.I had a few abortive attempts to give up during my 20's but all came to nought. Then one night when I was about 28, I thought right, when you're 30 you stop! Weekend of birthday was May bank holiday, so decided 31st May was day I would stop. Went down to London to spend the weekend with the misses and see my West End mates, even made it across to France for a night! Got back up North on the 31st, went to pub, got home with a few tinnies. Had a tab just before midnight, put it out in one of the tinnies and went to bed. Woke up in the morning, knew I'd never smoke again! No cravings or out like it, just got on with life. Now I don't think I'm out special for doing this, in fact met quite a few people who had same experience and were as surprised as I was by it. Thinking on though, at the time it suited the Treasury for people to keep it up, and any of the products supposed to help painted a hard road ahead for quitting and kept an input of nicotene just for good measure. The message has always been about how tough it is to give up, well not for me and plenty of others, and hopefully for those planning to give up, good luck to you!
I assume with a head mounted anus, a pipe is the go to for ease of tobacco inhalation? My habit is nearly forty years old now. I wish that I could quit but whenever I've tried it's been hell for me. And it turns me in to a short tempered @rsehole and that makes me a right sod to be around.
You have a lot to learn about the ways of the bumfaced folk. We're probably nothing like the way that you imagine us. There's a lot of prejudice and misinformation out there. I protect my people and keep them safe. And I smoke loads of cigs and drink loads of beer. And I get loads of bumfaced women too. Perks of being the head of the clan.I assume with a head mounted anus, a pipe is the go to for ease of tobacco inhalation?
I've got to admit that I am a) pretty envious, and b) honoured to be conversing with a higher up from the burgeoning bum faced community. You have a lot to learn about the ways of the bumfaced folk. That sounds insane but it could well be true. I thought that loads of youngsters were shunning all drugs these days? Their way of rebelling against their parents who were like me and drank and smoked and took loads of pills and acid when they were young.Sad to say that kids now start on drugs rather than fags because it's cheaper, allegedly.
Prohibition has never worked mate.Obviously the smokers amongst us will understandably disagree but I'd be happy if the government just banned them outright.
I'm sure plenty would still end up smoking illicitly, but it would reduce the new uptake massively.
Smoking doesn't provide anywhere near the immediate high of illegal drugs, so there's far less reason to jump in to it when peer pressure is removed, it's just addictive.
There are no major benefits to smoking in isolation.
My Dad died of throat cancer after being a huge smoker, so I don't plan on ever touching another tobacco product in my life.
I'd ban it in a heartbeat.
