I'd say probably about right. Any more and Red Bull would just take the engine penalty anyway.
Me thinks they'll just take the engine penalty anyways. Especially with the tracks left to visit. Mercedes will react accordingly or privately I think they'll risk an engine failure during a race such is the tightness of the championship battle.

It would make sense for Hamilton to take it at Sochi if Max has this penalty, expect RB will do the same too. Could be an interesting race

The difference is that max never backs out, but expects everyone to back out for him. He's got a serious case of the schumachers that lad, and in this day and age he will start to repeatedly get hit by the kind of penalties that Michael managed to avoid through lack of integrity and transparency that existed in the sport back then
You don't win championships by backing out of every battle and been Mr Nice Guy. It's why Schumacher was dominant for so long. Ruthless aggression. Only Alonso battled back with him with the same intensity.

No you don't, but in this game taking too many gambles like that backfires. Schumacher got away with a lot more then than he would today, due to the corruption

One wonders if Verstappen would get the same pelters on here if he was British? 👀
Ridiculous comment. Given Hamilton gets pelters just for being black.

And yes, yes he would. i was very very surprised that he made such whiny comments about Hamilton celebrating when he was getting a check up in Silverstone. I didn't think that was very F1 but maybe he's a sensitive soul. But if he was, surely if he literally drives over Hamiltons head he should at least check he's ok? Not storm off.

Maybe he's not sensitive and his "celebrating" comments were deliberately calculated to try and get in Lewis' head

Drove over his head? 🤣

The hate for Max is the old "British hero = good, foreign adversary = bad"

Let's also remember Lewis isn't exactly an angel either. Which is no bad thing.

why are you laughing at the drove over his head bit, that is factually accurate, and also could have caused serious injury or death.

It's also factually accurate that Max didn't even look to see if Hamilton was ok. I've heard hamilton many times asking for the health of other drivers after accidents.

Max is showing the traits of a sociopath.

It really isn't it's for the way he reacts. The way he acts on the track and off it. You can't have ti both ways. You can't whine about someone celebrating and then ignore the same person when you drive over his head.
Oh and I used the phrase "Drove over his head" because, well, no there's no way of making that one clearer. He drove over his head.

It's got zero to do with Nationalities. It's absolutely ridiculous to say that. It says more about you than it does about us.

Max's tyre rolling over Hamiltons head, how would you describe that? other than driving over his head? It might not have been intential to do that, but it still happened, and MAx didn't even check he was ok, could easily have killed him

Thats significantly more dangerous than the crash at Silverstone and it was a bit of a pathetic reaction from Max considering how he behaved after Silverstone.

You could put one of those cars in a wall at 200MPH and the driver would walk away every time. The only real risk of serious injury is hitting a stationary car or something coming into the cockpit

He didn't 'drive' over his head. His car was completely airborne and landed on top of the Mercedes.
I think the point ST was making was that Max just walked off after the crash without even checking if Hamilton was ok despite driving over his head/the car landing on his head. Whatever way you want to phrase it the picture above speaks for itself and it could have so easily killed the driver. Far more dangerous than the crash Max had at Silverstone yet he was happy to just walk away despite his comments after Silverstone

He absolutely did. I know it was accidentally but that's not the point. His car clearly, as the pictures show, drives over Hamliton's head. He doesn't even remotely to check to see if Ham is OK after that.

There's aggression, and then there's reckless.

Max is reckless. He's going to cause a huge accident in which a driver will get seriously hurt if he doesn't calm down.
