He was the 1st big Boro signing I can remember. Couldn't believe the Gazette billboards with his name on. Top player in his day
Class thatRemarkable when you read that he didn't come up through the normal schoolboy football route. He just turned up at Elland Road one morning with his boots and asked for a trial. He passed and that was that!
Yep agree on thatRIP TC. The best attacking full back we ever had
Morning coluka, without a doubt we should have won the league, even with our limited firepower up front we were still chasing the dream double up till the Brum game, then it just fell away, just look at the back 4, with Platty behind them, IMHO, the best everBest LB Boro ever had. I am gutted right now, in bits. He was just brilliant and a part of a team that should have won the league (1st Division).
RIP Terry, my dad, for one, will be looking out for you. He loved you and the fact you completed the best Boro team we both ever saw.
What a left hand side we had back then with Terry & SpikeMorning coluka, without a doubt we should have won the league, even with our limited firepower up front we were still chasing the dream double up till the Brum game, then it just fell away, just look at the back 4, with Platty behind them, IMHO, the best ever
I can still see spike making that late run for the header at the back post. What a left hand side we had back then with Terry & Spike
