Tattoos

Sleeves on women look dreadful, bad enough when they are young but simply ghastly on older bodies. A lot of the artwork is far from original, look at all those who got roses on their back following Cheryl. Worse still are children's names (Cortney,Jordan, Tyler etc) or their DOB whats that all about, in case you forget when you take them to A&E. Faces of your pets is another ridiculous trend. I would argue that no tattoo makes anyone look smarter or more sophisticated quite the opposite.
Would you like to be a little bit more judgmental?

I can appreciate the skill of the artist, but I've never seen one that I wouldn't prefer as a pencil drawing.

I've never actually seen a tattoo that I've liked. It's not really a conscious decision; even as a 5-6 year old kid I remember not liking them and refusing to have those temporary rub on ones on that you got at partys etc. To me, they all look too much like a skin disease.

I think the trend must turn: they've lost all meaning as they've become ubiquitous. They don't express any individuality, and no longer express identification with a particular group.

People are Judgemental, it’s natural, your doing it now , so am I, it’s not right but it’s true.
You can correct it but the immediate “ 1st impression” takes a lot to overcome.

I have the previous boro badge on my left shoulder, it's been there about 25 years. As soon as I feel comfortable with going to a tattoo studio it'll be getting covered up with something else as it's faded and the lettering is pretty much unreadable these days. I may keep the lion in the middle and have it re-coloured and incorporated into whatever I do next.

I don't regret getting it, but given the opportunity again, I wouldn't.

i am being no more judgemental than the people saying they look great. Some people like some people dont.
You are though. People are saying they like them. You are laying into the whole culture of tattoos. Using emotive and insulting language. It's extremely judgmental.

If I, for example, were being as judgemental as you I'd be saying things like "people who don't have tattoos are idiots: look at all that ugly pale skin. or How bad do you have to be to not want to celebrate the birth if your child.

This is why you are being judgmental and people who like tattoos aren't

“Culture” of tattoos, sorry your going to have to explain that.
Surly Tattoos are a statement, if you make a statement you should expect to be judged, or why make the statement in the first place?

Why should you expect to be judged its personal to somebody and let's be honest I doubt glover would say what he did to somebody anyway. The judgment is way over the top IMO.

"you're"

As @Boro1876 says, Glover was way over the top. Also what right do you have to judge what someone else does to their body? Who made you the arbiter of style?

I've not got any myself (too indecisive to commit to something that will be on me forever), but I love good tattoos. Obviously there's a lot of ***** ones about, but a lot of them are brilliant, and as others have said, are genuine works of art. I think the right tattoos on women look amazing as well.

Nobody my little grammar master, btw should a sentence begin with “Also”? If so should the Also have a comma after it? I don’t know, but I got your meaning.

Everyone Judges, it’s immediate, it’s instinctive and natural, you should question the immediate and consider your opinion.
Everyone has the right to express their opinion and every one who expresses their opinion should expect that opinion to be judged or commented upon.
To believe any thing else is childishly naive
You can get tatted up to the gills. Your choice
You can say or do what you please. Your choice.
People will Judge you on both counts.Their choice
People may or may not vocalise their Judgement / opinion. Their choice
You can listen or ignore. Your choice.

But, to be honest, I have never , in all my puff, ever , ever heard anyone call anyone an idiot for not having a tattoo. That’s all I’m saying.

if you dont like them, great, dont get one.

Maybe you would get less stressed by things in general by staying in your own lane and out of mine?

Tattoos on women look unreal. Not your trashy kids names etc but sleeves etc. Think you have to be quite straight stiff upper lip brit type to think otherwise 🤵🏻‍♂️

Your last sentence proves my point about glover and you being judgemental and people who defend tattoos not being so.

hey if that’s how you want to come across then fine by me. Just know it’s not a good look

Just stating the truth, I have never heard anyone say such a thing, have you? Seriously? You’ve heard someone called an idiot for NOT having a tattoo? Really?
btw you are coming over a little judgemental, but hey if that’s how you want to come across then it’s your choice.
You seem very agitated by this perhaps you’ve experienced a non positive judgement , their are two types after all , or are only positive judgements allowed in your mind.
I repeat , all people judge, if you don’t accept that then it doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

No I’ve never heard that. Which is exactly my point. That’s why people like you and glover are being judgemental and why it reflects badly on you
