Simon Clarke MP

i think once he mentioned the clique i decided to file him under multi username attention seeker

That'd be Groucho's then...? ;-)

I think a sign of the truly paranoid is that they think there is a"clique" on here (certainly if I'm part of it ). Maybe if you believe people are ganging up on you, it's just because you are saying something silly?

Hardly.. Posting from a minority perspective does not make what you say silly. It just seems silly to you and others with the same political views because you don't agree with it. Just as the floods of posts each day about Brexit/Johnson/government comes across as silly to me. Just a group of people with the same political beliefs agreeing with each other.

Maybe you should take heed of what American_Mary and Lefty posted on page 3. They were of the opinion there is goading and when a group of people all pile on it can come across as bullying/ganging up etc.

When I post it's the same posters replying within a short time frame. Doesn't matter of the content you are all right and I am wrong.

Oh Jam another member of "the clique" - I don't need multi user names son. I am happy to post under this. I don't have to have a gang to back me up

It's not that you are wrong though. It's the fact you refuse to answer criticism of the government (I'll give you the twitter thing that you stole from Spanish)
You just deflect and detract, whenever anyone brings you up on it you deflect and detract EVEN MORE.
To your credit you actually CAN'T be wrong, because you never answer a straight question.

As pointed out he doesn't own that link so I can't steal it and I informed him when asked that I did use it.

Not sure how that falls into deflect and detract though. You and others were quick to jump on board something that seems to be fake. I provided you with a factual to show this. Am I not allowed to pull people up for posting and promoting false information and providing them with factual evidence. Surely you would support as much.

If the government said something and there was evidence to show it was false you would have no issue promoting that. It is exactly the same thing. Exposing the truth no matter what political side you take

Yes you are allowed. Hence why I give you credit for it, I was talking about your entire oeuvre which is deflecting and detracting and “but Corbyn”.

I can see how you will want to dwell on the single instance where you have actually successfully defended the government, rather than the multiple times you’ve tried to change the subject form whatever criticism they are getting. Clever tactic. Not clever enough but well done you.

Not this again. Like I have pointed out to you and others on this thread who use this "but Corbyn" phrase. I haven't used it so why keep saying I do. Just misrepresentation which you and some of the band of merry men continue to use. It's like you are anti misrepresentation when it involves anyone but people with your political beliefs and then it's fair game

I don't know whether you are that dumb that you can only concentrate on this single thread, you don't get what I mean by using the phrase "but Corbyn..." instead of saying "whataboutery" all the time or you're actually very clever and by concentrating on what's happened on this thread, you think people will forget other times you have used the phrase.

I suspect there is a mix of 2 and 3 at play here

Maybe you could highlight what you are finding difficult to understand. As I presume you have no issue reading other posters posts. Especially on this thread littered with spelling mistakes from people within "the clique". Again I suspect you are just being pedantic though as your a lefty remainer and consider me a righty brexiteer therefore you suddenly find yourself unable to read.

As you were....

OK - I don't particularly want to come over as a smart@rse, but as you asked, I'll highlight a couple of points from your first section that I'm struggling with ...

"Supported on by his mentor..." - what is "supported on" supposed to mean ?

"Spanish if you had named your thread to point that ...." - do you mean "to point out that" ?

".... your morale high ground but nobody seen it ..." - do you mean "nobody saw it" ?

"Spanish if you had named your thread to point that the story was a load of rubbish would have been a start it's all well and good playing to your morale high ground but nobody seen it and the one reply you got that person hadn't read it and was presuming you were continuing with the claims." - allow me to introduce you to , - it's called a comma

As you say, I've probably lived in Spain too long and am out of touch with the nuances of the modern English language

I'd just like to apologise to the rest of the board if I came over as a bit of a knob on that last post ...... but he did ask ;)

And you have misrepresented what I said there. I didn't say in this thread. "I haven't used it so why keep saying I do". That is in general. If you could pull up some quotes of me saying "But Corbyn" to fit your narrative I could concede I do use it.

It's like saying if you say something enough times you believe it. I don't know if you do believe it or you have convinced yourself of it. It's quite daft really to just reply "but Corbyn" and that isn't just to you. It becomes more and more of something made up by the people claiming others state it and than actual people stating it

Malaguena - Based on them points I still don't understand how you could not understand it? So what if there is not a comma, are you unable to read without one and just continue without breath?

Why have you not pulled anyone else for their spelling or grammar or does that not fit your narrative?

And while you piled in with your smart **** remarks you took no time to consider that I might be dyslexic and that perfect punctuation on a message board posting of my mobile is not my top priority.

Oh by the way

"As you say, I've probably lived in Spain too long and am out of touch with the nuances of the modern English language" -

Do you mean I've probably lived in Spain too long and I'm out of touch with the nuances of the modern English language?

How do message boards have cliques? Infact wouldn't every member of a message be a member of the same clique if we are using clique entry rules?

"Do you mean I've probably lived in Spain too long and I'm out of touch with the nuances of the modern English language?" - no, because the way I've structured the sentence means that the first person pronoun is implied and therefore not needed to be included

And I meant you piled in with your smart arsed remark earlier by saying can you repeat that in English.

Sorry I don’t understand that sentence even if you have the first person pronoun is implied.

“ I’ve lived in Spain to long and am out of touch”

Am? Not I am. Fair enough that’s written how someone might speak. Pretty sure that would have a red mark circled round it in some English homework
