Names going out of existence.

I think there is more chance of your FMTTM name making it to the main stream than Steve has of making a comeback. I’m sorry mate what can I tell ya, im in that list if it’s any consolation - seems we’ve had our day!
Sad, isn't it? We are the last of our kind. We were titans in our day but we'll just fade away and in years to come we'll only be remembered in the mournful songs that the bards will sing about times long ago when there were still real heroes in the world. I'm pretty much resigned to that now.

Mentioned this to a friend of mine not so long ago but where did all the Debbies go? Two of my first three girlfriends were Debbies because every other girl at school was called Debbie back then but it must have been decades since I last encountered a Debbie in the wild.

A fair few will no doubt get brought back with slight changes to make them cool again I.e I imagine Arnold is actually quite popular at moment because it can be shortened to Arnie which I think the mums like at the moment.

It’s better than when my fiancé genuinely asked me if we could name our son Rudolph

If he takes after his dad and ends up writing drunken posts about spherical songs on football message boards when he grows up he may well develop a very shiny nose. She was just thinking ahead mate. That's what women are like.

I think they’ve all been tamed by marriage kids and painkiller addiction!

When I was little I had great aunt, Vera. I've never encountered that name since, except as a TV programme name.
