I'm quite interested in attitudes towards holidays this year and wondered what the board were feeling...
The testing for holidays is here to stay. Way too much money has been invested in it around the world for airports, airlines and countries to drop it.Too many questions / unknowns even for "green" countries.
e.g.. What happens if you get a positive test before you return ?
I assume that means you can't fly so you will have to stay and quarantine for 2 weeks (or until you get a negative test which could be longer than 2 weeks) ..........and you are paying for all of these tests as well.
This would be at your own cost. Insurance companies will not cover this.
Will all of the party who you travel with eg.. wife & kids, also have to stay & quarantine ?
When you are allowed to leave will you have to pay for new flights ?
..... and then there's the additional car parking charge when you are allowed to fly back. Not to mention anything else you may have needed to get back for e.g.. pets, work........
Staycation for me until they drop the testing.
If you book a package with TUI they have a coronavirus cover included which includes medical treatment and accommodation for you to quarantine at, plus a return flight provided at their expense if you test positive before your return flight.Too many questions / unknowns even for "green" countries.

I’ve said previously I have a place in the canaries, hoping to go end June, early July. Need to be at an event end July so hopefully on the green list.Hopefully we'll be away in July. Looking at Greece or the Canaries.
Leave her at home. Then when you're isolating she can deliver food parcels and treats. Sorted.Still not completely given up on Sweden in mid-June yet. 10 days isolating works for me on return but my Mrs not so much.
Otherwise it's likely to be September but that's more driven by workload at the moment than Covid regs.
