Too many questions / unknowns even for "green" countries.

e.g.. What happens if you get a positive test before you return ?

I assume that means you can't fly so you will have to stay and quarantine for 2 weeks (or until you get a negative test which could be longer than 2 weeks) ..........and you are paying for all of these tests as well.
This would be at your own cost. Insurance companies will not cover this.
Will all of the party who you travel with eg.. wife & kids, also have to stay & quarantine ?
When you are allowed to leave will you have to pay for new flights ?
..... and then there's the additional car parking charge when you are allowed to fly back. Not to mention anything else you may have needed to get back for e.g.. pets, work........

Staycation for me until they drop the testing.

Following the science, following the government advice, if they say I can’t go I won’t. If they say I can then play Jess Glynne and let’s go.

We still have a cancelled one in reserve but I don't feel confident just yet in booking, as you say we go with the science/advice.

Disneyland Paris booked for September with the wife and boyo, already rescheduled it twice 🤦🏻‍♂️. I’m confident we will get there but depends what Disney’s going to be like, don’t think it’s opening back up until July.

The testing for holidays is here to stay. Way too much money has been invested in it around the world for airports, airlines and countries to drop it.

If you book a package with TUI they have a coronavirus cover included which includes medical treatment and accommodation for you to quarantine at, plus a return flight provided at their expense if you test positive before your return flight.

Not even considering travelling abroad until next year - I'm absolutely gagging for a holiday but too much can change too quickly just now.

Ready have a holiday booked for October. For a green list country too.

It's either refundable or changeable too so if worst comes to the worst we'll go next year

Still not completely given up on Sweden in mid-June yet. 10 days isolating works for me on return but my Mrs not so much.

Otherwise it's likely to be September but that's more driven by workload at the moment than Covid regs.

Leave her at home. Then when you're isolating she can deliver food parcels and treats. Sorted.

Just sacking off a foreign holiday this year as its not worth the hassle, and we've got a lot of other necessary things we need to spend on. We are doing a lot of UK weekend breaks instead, though.

Got Krackow booked for 4 nights in August but this was rolled over from last year but will have to wait and see, not planning anything else abroad this year though.

We've got one rolled over from last July to this July. I'm expecting\hoping it will be cancelled. Don't really fancy it at the moment as all the countries we are going to are on the Amber list so will cost us at least an extra 1K just for tests alone.

No chance of me going abroad until Summer 2022 at least. Don't see the point. It'll be days out in the UK this summer for us instead.
