Well Done Ben

Well it just shows how much shiite you talk.
Labour didn't get into Government until 1997.
Before that was 18 years of Thatcher and Major.
So 29 years out of the last 42 has been Tory but Labour are to blame for everything?
Oops, sorry. I made a mistake, but your reply sums up you and your like. I'll try not to make the same mistake. OK, here we go.
1997-2010 Was the last Labour Government.
How much did they achieve for Tees-side in their 13 years?
Maybe Harry could recite a poem about the glory years?

Suckling on propaganda eh

I don’t find him likeable, I think he was on best behaviour when he first got elected but I’ve noticed recently underlying a Tory arrogance coming through when I see him on the telly.

He is another one who saw the window of opportunity with the airport and access to central government money and wriggled through it.

It will all end in tears, give it time.
YOU can only hope

I put a cross for Ben and a question mark on the other candidate :whistle: as I did not have a clue who they were or had even heard of them.

He's managed to convince people that paying over the odds to the private owner of a small provincial airport and then pouring millions of pounds of public money into said airport to cover its ongoing losses will somehow transform the area into an economic colossus. You know, like it was in the 1980s when the airport was also in public ownership.

That said, once Covid travel restrictions are lifted, local people will be pleased to have had the option of flying off on holiday from Teesside Airport, before they choose the cost savings, wider options and better flights offered at Newcastle or Leeds/Bradford.
Or it might have been another Orr of the travel infrastructure that got the treasury jobs brought to Darlington.

You showed your hand first!
None. QED.
The airport has always lost money and that is only likely to continue.
Who knows about the STDC site,
The Freeport will siphon jobs away from other areas, so there will be a gain for the area, but not for the country,.
