Dairy and meat exports down 96% due to Brexit

Just ignore him. For someone who cries about being bullied with personal insults he is very forthcoming with them towards other posters. I suppose it's to be expected of someone who voted for a party to get brexit done and then spends his waking hours stating how bad it is. And IMO it is, as was voting Tory, no doubt about that for me, but the condescending attitude and misguided arrogance smacks of someone desperate to mitigate their own failings. Desperate to be seen as a social climber so voted Tory, then realised it doesn't chime with his champagne socialism. It's a short journey from calling a 2nd bedroom a "study" just because he opened his laptop in it

No personal insults there, just observations on a individual; no doubt a claim will be made otherwise. One who I've had the displeasure to meet (be in company of to be more accurate) once albeit many years ago, but nothing has changed since then, still the same character, unfortunately

Youse lot frothing at the mouth should be focussing on climate change, that's the thing that's going to affect us and our offspring...Forget about Brexit it's over with !
Vote Green 🍏
I think most care about climate change, the degree of which differs though. But brexit is far from over, it's barely even started, and there could be many things to come that impact it and its course.

As for voting green, nice idea in theory, but in reality, they won't get enough votes to get any/ many seats. All a green vote does is split the "left of tory" vote, which digs the tories in deeper and deeper. If we had proportional representation, then fine, but the tories don't want that of course.

Screwed up system.

You don't have to agree, it's a fact that not all tories wanted brexit, Cameron didn't even want it and they actually campaigned against, and then DC and Farage went fishing and a chunk of people took the bait. Even Careon's replacement May didn't vote brexit and didn't want it, Bojo did, but only for self gain and to line his own pockets. So there's a few leading tories there who didn't want it, it's not inconceivable that some voters wouldn't. This was proven in the surveys and might have even been up to 30% of Tory voters that never wanted it, I can't remember off the top of my head and I've given up looking as it's a waste of time.
I bet a lot of the tory voters that never wanted brexit have now jumped ship back to Labour. Equally, there was a load of labour voters and they jumped ship and went and voted tory/ brexit, yet neither tories or brexit were likely to actually help them (a lot of them were lied to/ used).
Loads used to vote lib dem, then they jumped ship when they sold out to the tories etc, peoples parties do daft things and people switch sides, it's happened since politics started.

Yes, in most cases a tory vote is a brexit vote, but not in all cases. Some may have seen tory/ brexit as a marginally lasser of two evils, rather than vote Corbyn/ remain? There's plenty of policies I've not liked, pretty much from every party I've voted for and I've voted for a few.

I don't think he cares if people call him names, but I've seen others go after him first on numerous threads. All ST seems to care about is information being shared/ becoming public, which is fine. A lot of that might be brexit or pandemic related or whatever, but they're the main things in the news, so it makes sense.

What I write may not be "facts" largely because I don't say they are facts, mostly because a lot of it is in the future and I'm not Marty McFly. A lot of the info I post is based on most probable outcomes, which is a lot more likely than the side you keep defending. You cant dig at "facts" when you're defending something which has a less probable outcome.
You lost me when you compared St voting tory in 2019 and Cameron and May I am afraid. Didn't bother reading any more.

Yup, sounds about right, jumping to conclusions and ignorant of detail, typical from yourself, and why replying to you is a waste time.

Don't bother then andy it's a free message board you can pick and choose who you quote and who you engage with.

The vote on the EU was not party political it was cross party based on people's beliefs, so MP"s could vote freely.

The general election was different, it wouldn't make sense to stand for election as a Tory MP and vote against the party, would it. If you recall a lot of pro Europe Tories left parliament and followed their conviction or were deselected by Johnson's pro Brexit bunch before the election.

As for the general public we had a choice, Tory and Brexit, labour and a possible further vote on leaving the EU or lib dem and a reverse Brexit.

Brexit was the main issue at the last election, if remaining in the EU was the most important thing for you, then lib dem should be your choice, then Labour, if you voted Tory, I believe from a personal conviction point of view you partly own Brexit if you voted Tory just.my view mind.

What do you think?

Would you share a confidential business plan from the buisness you work in?

I'm a liar now aswell as stupid and the multitude of other things you've called me and implied about me today?

ST playing the big man on the internet. 😂
I said you appear to be a liar which you do. You're definitely a hypocrite. As you'll happily have a go at people arguing against brexit by saying that we can't predict the future and things might not happen. Than at the same time stating with certainty that you'll be alright yet being unable to say why. Hypocrisy 101

I get all that, and know all that, of course, and so would have ST I expect. But the point is there were still people in the tory party and still people who would vote tory no matter what, even if it meant having brexit or a "get brexit done", that "get brexit done" could mean many things and the tories or anything to do with leave were not exactly crystal clear where they?

Like I said though, a party can be good for an individual as a whole, but a policy may not be what they prefer, even if the policy is large chunk of it. At the end of the day 5 years of tories may be better for his pocket than 5 years of labour, even if that included remain, or any other reason why one might vote tory rather than brexit. Tory + leave + SM + CU may have been his ideal, who knows, who cares?

It's not what I think, it's what ST thinks. Everyone has their reasons and I at least, can understand it isn't that simple for some.

I've voted for all of the main three parties in the last 20 years or whatever and wanted to remain more than anything. I wouldn't vote Lib Dem again though, not anytime soon as they sold me out last time, and I've not got over it yet :ROFLMAO:
Tory is actually probably best for my back pocket, and Brexit probably won't hit me hard (or my industry, as it's essential), but either way I can probably ride out that storm anyway, so I would have justification for that. I didn't vote brexit though as I'm not that concerned about myself to be honest, and I know loads are a lot worse off, and the economic forecasts mean the worse of would end up even more worse off with brexit. So effectively I voted for the worse off, rather than myself, and which is why I voted remain (and begrudgingly labour, with JC). Happier now with LAbour now JC has gone, as I think they actually have a chance at the next GE now.

For most, it will have been as blunt as Tory - leave (with no deal or a crap deal) or labour - remain, but there are loads of tories that wanted to leave yet stay in the SM and CU, and maybe some thought we would get a vote on that or we would end up with that. I know loads that wouldn't vote labour, no matter what as they hate JC. Some even voted tory, and knowingly brexit, as they just couldn't bare JC, whether that was with remain or leave and he wasn't exactly crystal clear on remaining either.

Anyway, even if he did vote tory brexit (I don't think it was what he wanted), then it's not turned out anything like how it was promised, so every "brexiteer" would be up in arms I would think?
The rest don't whinge though, as it wasn't about economics, it was about getting immigrants out and a load of bull$hit used as bait which they won't admit they lapped up.

Good post thanks, I agree with what you say, and as you say or I think you are saying, you can't have your cake and it eat.

Brexit and the election were of many things, some overlapping, some very distinct, lots of people voting with conviction of their main belief. People voted in the election as to how they choose fit and the same with Brexit and we get the results we deserve, given the entwined nature of both the election and Brexit I think it's very difficult to point a clear finger in one direction and say that's were the blame lies, it is too complex for that as you have articulated.

What about T.May redlines don’t that mean it was never going to be a cu or sm Brexit. So anyone with any political knowledge must have know by the 2019 election it wasn’t going to be a soft Brexit. The last chance to stop Brexit and people on both sides voted for themselves.

No but you don't have to get upset when you say something hypocritical and I call you out on it. Shame really you have to be so sad about it. It's why I think you're lying.

Called out by Smalltown on the internet?

🤣 **** me what a glorious day.

What's your plan to reverse brexit?

First it was "upset", then "bully", then "hypocrite" (being a pedant on spelling as well, so a bit of irony there), now its "calling people out" and "liar"

FFS

You only have to look at how he was received on (quite a few) other message boards to see how he always drags things down. Common denominator there, but of course anyone with "captain of the world" syndrome will attempt to paint it differently

He's to be pitied more so than ridiculed
