The unofficial "Official" Swansea City v "Neil Warnock`s" Middlesbrough - Match Thread.

I am a big believer in the referees decision being final.
No matter how wrong.
We can't change the result or any of the decisions that cost the game.
But that guy must never be allowed on a football pitch ever again.

Anyone who has played the game, at any level, knows that the sound of the game reveals as much about contact as anything. Boot on ball and boot on boot sound very different so that should have been enough to allow the ref to make the first decision correctly and I'm sure that was why the ref gave the corner before changing his mind to give a penalty.
Fact is, he's a very poor ref.

If this doesn’t give the players the feeling of injustice that drives them on for the rest of the season, then nothing will. Next game get at the opposition, knock them over ,just steam roller them

Saville didnt need to slide in. He was ball watching. If hed been alert he would of got there first without going to ground. The ref should of cost us 2 points but Saville made sure we got nothing. Howson again unconvincing. Terrible ref today. Like beyond bad. But our fault we came away with nothing. Again we give a team a head start and again letting Saville near a football pitch guarantees problems. Everything he does even the slightly good things should be done better. I hope hes gone in the summer
Try rational judgement:

Have just watched the worst interview Ive ever seen from a manager.
I think Cooper is gormless anyway, but for him to have a perspective like that about a game his team have burgled lacks not just humility, but any form of decency.

It was not a penalty, that is a fact, not opinion. We dominated the game and should have walked over the finish line, you're talking nonsense.
I never argue over penalties, they go for us, they go against us, my point is around Saville ball watching then diving in as the playing jumps in, gave the incompetent ref ammunition to give a penalty

We were by far the better team, you could see by their celebration they'd got out of jail

They do erimus, I take issue with Ted saying we did it to ourselves, and got what we deserved. That is clearly nonsense.

Well no. The ref gave it so it was a penalty and thats a fact so with the greatest of respect, youre talking nonsense. If you mean it shouldn’t of been a penalty, i would disagree because had that happened at the other end we’d be going mad. Even if it wasnt, Saville’s given him a decision to make so again as much as I agree we were playing against 12 men today, to an extent we’ve got ourselves to blame. Yes the ref gave a corner initially bit considering what he did with Bola’s goal are you surprised he changed his mind?

Why do people who want to criticise Saville for his whole match performance let that cloud there judgement of one decision by the referee
Saville didn’t dive in he got there first and the Swansea player kicked through his foot.
Foul to us if any decision other than the corner the referee initially signaled
