I think the Euros will be Southgates last game as England manager. Who will replace him?
I really hope that is not the case.Suddenly available Eddie Howe
When did that last happen?Somebody with a winning mentality whos brave enough to play players who are performing in the here and now and not for what they've done in the past. It wouldnt surprise me to see Henderson and Phillips start CM
the reason is that he's been paid extremely well to tend to his garden.Potter. There's a reason he's not even been mentioned for any of the jobs that have come up since Chelsea sacked him.

I think Howe is a strong contender. Regardless of the Newcastle transfer funds available, he has had some of their players looking like a different man altogether than under Bruce and even Gordon looks to have improved since they signed him.
Potter might well go for it once his Chelsea money dries up and he's free to look elsewhere and I think he would be the first choice of the FA.
Howe and Potter (Guardiola too - in fact, most successful modern managers) rely on being with their players everyday in order to mould and shape them over months and seasons. To have them 24/7 to instill ways of playing etc.
Would the next England manager have his player enough to do this only seeing them for one week every so often?
