Blimey that story about the RF season ticket offer, is there actually truth to that? Jesus Christ that would be absolutely mad. Surely it can’t be true. It opens up several cans of worms if so. It’s pretty worrying tbh.
My thoughts exactly. It can't be true, but I wouldn't put it past Gibson.Blimey that story about the RF season ticket offer, is there actually truth to that? Jesus Christ that would be absolutely mad. Surely it can’t be true. It opens up several cans of worms if so. It’s pretty worrying tbh.
No. Not most. But there will be a lot.Aren't most games on sky TV next season?
I know absolutely nothing about this. Nor did anyone else from Mbro Supporters Forum.Good to know it wasn't just me that heard this. As I said this came direct from someone within RF and they believed and even told Steve the group may not exist next season.
As for people wanting confirmation from Rob I don't think he will have done this infront of everyone during the discussion. So I would expect him to be unaware himself.
So 42% of weekend matches plus pretty much all mid-week matches with red button.No. Not most. But there will be a lot.
"Each League weekend fixture round will see 10 live EFL fixtures shown. Five matches will be shown from the Sky Bet Championship and supporters of Sky Bet League One and League Two teams will now benefit from greater coverage than ever before with five of their games being broadcast live. "
So five games a weekend.
I understand that. But I know for a fact this is true.I know absolutely nothing about this. Nor did anyone else from Mbro Supporters Forum.
It's not just the sheer volume of games on TV - it the timings. Scheduling of games will be at the convenience of broadcasters with little regard to the convenience of the match going public. Season tickets imply a commitment to games spectators may be increasingly unable to attend. So 42% of weekend matches plus pretty much all mid-week matches with red button.
11 mid-week matches this season + 32 weekend matches + 3 Bank Holidays
Probably looking at approximately 28 matches televised out of 46. Or 14 out of 23 home matches.
Exactly. Friday night and Monday night matches are crap alternatives to a Saturday 3pm kick off. Particularly the Monday night kick off where people who work away will be unable to attend. It's not just the sheer volume of games on TV - it the timings. Scheduling of games will be at the convenience of broadcasters with little regard to the convenience of the match going public. Season tickets imply a commitment to games spectators may be increasingly unable to attend.
No, it will be the majority of games.No. Not most. But there will be a lot.

@fmttmadmin can the club be contacted about the claim above?I understand that. But I know for a fact this is true.
As explained RF actually declined the offer as they wanted reduced prices for the full fan base. So good on them.
Just to clarify, that's a figure on the low side, as all of the first weekend and last weekend games will also be shown. No, it will be the majority of games.
Every single midweek game and all the Christmas, New Year, Easter games will be shown.
10 teams out of 24 on weekends is 42% of the teams having their games moved.
You then normally have 13-14 midweek fixtures, all of which will be shown.
If you add the holiday fixtures you're looking at around 30 matches on Sky per club.
What do you think the early bird pricing is all about? It’s extremely bad form if true and tantamount to bribing fans to be compliant.
At least that’s in plain daylightWhat do you think the early bird pricing is all about?

That's the one and all the TV match numbers are minimums. So, if we have a FA Cup match later in the season, for example or a postponement due to our opponent being in the Cup, the weekend match will be shown as part of the midweek coverage. If Christmas and New Year matches fall on a weekend, they will be shown.and from the EFL:
