Mate, my point is this:Because sometimes things will have to be said off the record to substantiate / back up a point being made.
It’s got to be better than an answer like “we tried for a striker in Jan, but couldn’t make it work”
The reason early birds are so early - we found that out - at our level clubs with the earliest renewals literally have the cash available to bid for the transfers right at the start of the window.
£50k a day, not a week. Look in the accounts.
Yep true and they won't do it again I am sure of that.Alot of this could of been avoided by the club. That initial email they sent out they should of atleast thanked us for our support. We all spend a fortune each season on season tickets, away games, £10 quid match passes ( I always buy for games I can't attend as like to donate to the club). But you do all that and the club send you a email saying the price is rising with no acknowledgement or stating the reasons for the rise was very insulting.

Rob - that helpful response is really appreciated.Last night was debate and argument about prices. Lots of stats from the club and some real passion from the chairman. Equal passion from the fans. And I am not going to divide up between RF and the Forum because it simply did not work that way. Am hoping we can get some of this info published. Or an interview about it. It is all in the accounts of course but you need to be an accountant don't you. And I am not.
Anyway, there was a long time deciding on where we could get to at the end of the meeting. What could we say. In the end it was decided we should issue a joint statement. I know some of the fans wanted the club to make the running but others and the club really wanted it to be joint. And that was the way around it was as well.
I managed to miss the club statement today. But we would like some of the points Steve Gibson made to come out.
In truth I think everyone is slightly drained now.
Not having a go at you personally, but this mindset is what needs to be pushed away. Everything is quashed as we HAVE to support the team over speaking out about issues. It is lets focus our efforts on back to back wins. Lets be fans and avenge that defeat in the SW.
Sorry I am knackered to be honest.Mate, my point is this:
3 hours of discussions and all we know is that the U-18 pricing has been reduced. Must have been packed with off the record comments.
Ok by you maybe, but I think more, when possible, should be shared with the wider fanbase. That is not unreasonable, not by any measure.
People like the truth . If we are on the bones , tell us, then we won't have high expectations above our station .Because sometimes things will have to be said off the record to substantiate / back up a point being made.

You don't know why and how decisions were reached. Look, it was me that successfully pleaded the case for the renewal period to be lengthened. I didn't come away from that conversation thinking where were other fan groups in that discussion. I sent a message and then had several phone calls explaining the ins and outs of that situation. But I was taking my lead from many different posters and their arguments. Not having a go at you personally, but this mindset is what needs to be pushed away. Everything is quashed as we HAVE to support the team over speaking out about issues.
RF on their own have brought these concessions, if they hadnt pushed the protest no one else would of, and it would be just pay up because you NEED to support the team.
Just imagine if certain fan groups/figures or 'collective' had backed RF's protest instead of focusing on feeling like they need to support the team and not fellow fans.
Hopefully this is a wake up call for how powerful fans are, and especially when united together even if the issue doesnt involve them. The club will think again about future drastic decisions.
Millwall of the north?People like the truth . If we are on the bones , tell us, then we won't have high expectations above our station .
It would actually unite the fans .
Millwall of the north . But bigger .
Raise MillionsFor one have the clubs kit available to buy year round. The amount of lost sales having no stock for majority of the year is ridiculous
Then I do feel the club need to show behind the scenes more even maybe go to a streaming company and create a documentary like Wrexham and Sunderland have done build up the global fan base etc.
The club have to be alot more commercially aware.
wrong again. firstly, i’ve been to ONE meeting with the club and it was an introductory one - i’m barely in the circle. i am against the price rises, i don’t agree with them at all. what i don’t like is misrepresentation, and this is the issue i have here.
red faction have been incredibly important, they really have, but i also know that members of MSF have really tried. they’ve pushed and have put forward their views, concerns and ideas to MFC. at the end of the day, it’s not up to them to implement them - it’s up to the club, so i take issue with this idea that the fan reps are useless. they’re not, at all. people want someone to blame for this mess, but it’s not MSF.
i do think communication after meetings could be improved. we need to move away from it being a closed shop type thing. i hope people can appreciate that not EVERYTHING can be reported after these discussions, but less ambiguity would reduce these unfortunate and quite disheartening narratives imo
You have seen the books. Without Steve Gibson we have absolutely gone as a club. Totally gone..People like the truth . If we are on the bones , tell us, then we won't have high expectations above our station .
It would actually galvanise the fans .
Millwall of the north?
I will say to you I wasn't going to walk out. I wanted to strike a deal to ensure there was no walk out - that was my personal goal. I brought up the match long ago when Lee Cattermole cried. I explained I spoke to him not long after that match and asked him why he cried. He said quite simply the toxic crowd that day totally got to him. I was saying this to explain that actions in the stands would have consequences on the pitch and perhaps in the dug out.
It would give them accountability, which is clear they have zero from the recurring themes in the fans forum meetings you haveBecause people would feel inhibited in what they say. It starts to get to people when they are being ridiculed on social media. Or in the street.
Well I never. You learn something new every day on here.I guess coz Millwall are in the south, and we’re in the north
