£19 for a U12 match day ticket

As I noted on another thread for my 6 year old it is £19! With a booking fee of £1.50.

Preston manage to only charge £5! I'm sure increase in costs have gone up for them also.

The league average is around £9

Surely not one Boro fan can defend the club on this. Scandalous.

I was paying £14 for my two year old 12 years ago.
It's either Greed or Arrogance.
Now is the time to Stand up and be respected as fans.
I spend thousands every season on Boro and another £30 won't make too much difference, but with the £6( 2adults , 2 kids ) in Admins fees for every away match on top of everything, I've had enough

You take the p!ss for long enough you get what's coming to you.

My first full home season was 87/88. I would pay £1.50 for a ticket with a membership in the north terrace. Equivalent to £3.96, today, apparently

I'm taking my daughter aged 6 on Saturday to her first match. I thought it would be £10 tops.
How naive am I. It is ridiculous though.
Just to provide some perspective. Also go to Yorkshire cricket and junior membership for her age is free. Get them hooked young and reap the benefits later. Something Boro might like to bear in mind

a 12 year old probably spends more than that every week on household electricity playing their xbox and charging their iphone 🤣

Gibson talks about us having a really high percentage of fans paying concession rate and this is one reason why we have to increase prices. It's no wonder we have a high concession rate if we price the younger fans out of attending and are stuck with an ageing fan base, where are tomorrow's fans coming from?

I know there is the family zone but places are limited and you read stories on the internet about those tickets allegedly getting abused (I can't say if it is or not to be honest).

And?

The pricing is for kids aged 12 and all ages under as well.

Interesting thread choice for a fishing trip.
its not a fishing trip.

I just find it a bit insane that a couple of months after Gibson wrote off 107m owed to him he is now getting slated. I'm sure he didn't want to raise the prices, but we've had massive inflation over the last year

It's a principle thing, it's not that people can't afford it if they had to.

What are the high priced kids tickets going to rake in an extra 5 grand a game? 10 tops.

Has nothing to do with the football side or Gibson writing off the debt. People feel they are being taken for a ride.
