Yes it is. Once again provide proof there aren't any asylum seekers in those camps. In addition the way France treats these people will discourage them from attempting to assert their rights and claim asylum and is partly why they want to leave France and transit onwards to somewhere else.

a couple of points may be worthy of discussion
Firstly your assertion ’they are illegal’. Not sure how anyone knows without having a discussion with them
Secondly whether they are safe if France or not is irrelevant if they want to seek asylum in another country.
It would appear there is no law to stop people crossing the channel in a boat and there is a right to seek asylum.

I'd be quite happy to wager that the majority of people who voted Leave are proud of the UK's history, particularly our stance in the Second World War.
Which makes looking at that poll quite strange.
The UK won the war. And victory brought a new and better world. The great achievement was the post war settlement at home - Attlee's 'New Jerusalem' - and a liberal international order abroad. This international guaranteed - among a great deal of other things - human rights.
So why, after all this, do people born into the world this sacrifice created, who have benefitted from its peace, people with spitfires as their wallpaper and Vera Lynn as their ringtone, rail against refugees and 'the Human Rights brigade'?

If you are so sympathetic towards people Lefty and Primus 84 Muttley etc why are you delighting so much in ganging up on an individual who has different views to you.

How have I ganged up on Zaphod? I posted first, he chose to respond. I answered his question before he answered mine and then I actually defended him against criticism as I believe he is a good bloke. Other than that it's just been me putting my 'different' view. Please show me where I have been aggressive or insulting and I'll apologise.
Just pointing out that not all EU countries are so welcoming for a bit of balance.

Yes but Jack, that wasn't the question. There are a minority on this thread who have no sympathy for children drowning in the north sea, irrespective of their viewpoint on immigration. Immigration has nothing to do with the question, nothing at all.
