Amazing how many Boro fans have turned on Aitor. Boils my p1ss to be honest
Mowbray was hounded out at Barnsley away, didnt really have a pot to pi$$ in had to make do with 100k buys like Friend, Ledesma and Carayol with the odd exception (Juke, Kamara and Adomah?) and free transfers like Haroun, Martin and Leadbitter and rely on Curtis Main leading the line.
Fans turned on Aitor because we didnt need the Guzans and Valdes' and Barragans and Guedioura and Gestedes of this world we were terrible and made some shocking decisions (including putting Agnew in charge)
Ramirez who played an important role in our promotion (as did Jordan Rhodes who was never given a chance in the Premier League) downed tools and that was that.
And the football at the beginning of Aitor's reign was shocking to watch as it was in the prem playing for 0-0s in the hope we could nick a goal.
No one will forget the feeling they had the day we were automatically promoted at the Riverside and that was down to Aitor and hopefully that feel good factor will come again (or a victory at Wembley)
But sadly i think most fans forget that (including myself) and only remember our gutless return to the top flight and Karanka abandoning his team at Charlton away and almost throwing in the towel then
EDIT I forgot to mention his treatment of Craig Hignett too, but i guess there's 2 sides to a story and we only got to hear Craig's
