Much bigger risk to safety than a fan running on the pitch after we scored a late winner. The punishment should be at least the same.
Come on finny you’re better than that, just a single health issue is more than enough. Would it make the argument against more valid if it had killed someone suffering from asthma, COPD or another lung disorder, you shouldn’t need a tragedy to think it a bad idea. I’m mentioning you because you’re a good poster and I usually like you have to say.Just a question - how many examples have we had of a flare causing a problem (other than a 13k fine)?
And, I don’t class ‘outrage’ as a problem
Used to watch game’s regularly in Germany and you’d see similar scenes on the terraces without incident most weekends. Thought it looked ace
That's my views too. I do think it looks class/adds to atmosphere but it's not for everyone and not allowed so someone will be getting in deep **** for that.I can see why people wouldn’t like it.
I love it and wish we had more, like in Europe.
It is banned though so I’d expect some sort of action.
It did look great and momentarily lifted the atmosphere inside the stadium.
I do agree though that for health and safety reasons, they shouldn't be letting them off inside the stadium.
Let's not turn against the Red Faction though. Without them the stadium would be like a morgue. Punish the individuals who were directly responsible and let's move on.
Did it really look great though? It did look great and momentarily lifted the atmosphere inside the stadium.

He`s already said it doesDid it really look great though?
I personally thought it was embarrassing and those around me in the north did too. I also heard it being booed.
Presumably they will have to up the search policy for fans now too causing more inconvenience for most fans.
Are you unaware of any incidents or do you genuinely believe there are none? Could it just be that they’re not being reported very often or you’re not looking to find out?Feels like the reaction is a bit over the top. Hundreds of games pass in Europe every weekend with these sort of displays without incident
Yes true, this is where it becomes tricky. I certainly wouldn't want to see lifetime bans dished out, especially to hundreds of fans.It was an organised display from Red Faction, the flare was central to it, so that would surely be banning dozens to hundreds.
I don't think they should be banned, but then I don't think that fan should have been banned for life on Saturday either and he endangered nobody (except in the hypothetical).
