ICC Cricket World Cup Starts at 9.30 am This Morning

We are where we are in this tournament because we haven't bowled well enough in any of the games.

Fielding first was suicide. Especially with this bowling attack on this wicket.

Get out there and put a big score up and put the pressure on them. Give the bowlers something to defend
 
White flag stuff, bowlers are awful. Didn't think the cricket could possibly be a bigger hammering than the rugby, but it looks like it will

They overthink the impact of dew.
 
Can only really put this down to a massive lack of captaincy here as well as a massively undercooked team in these conditions.

Time for buttler and his massive sack of hype which he’s carried round for 10 years to leave the one day team and travel the world making 30 off 15 balls in t20 earning millions for doing it leaving the proper cricket thinking to the professionals.
 
Must admit I think any belief the team had left with Morgan. It's clearly a massive task ahead but I'd have given us a chance a few years back. Our ability to get out of seemingly impossible positions has deserted us.

I do think the tactical evolution of T20 hasn't helped either. Seems like we don't really have a strategy for ODIs anymore and an over reliance on good T20 players when this format is pretty different.

With that amount of scoreboard pressure we will do well to make 200.

I wouldn't necessarily chuck it all away and start again though. We were massively undercooked for this tournament and conditions in India do not suit us.
 
Bad as we bowled that pitch gives us a oitside chance. If you get set you can score big, but a bit of patience at the start required.
 
Mark Butcher nailed it last week when he said we think we can just turn up, put the opposition in and chase anything without taking in to account the conditions on the day.

Anyway straws clutching, on this showing we have restricted SA and could chase another 60 or so 😁
