Its absolutely disgusting reading some of the vile and vitriolic nonsense on FMTTM after yesterday`s game.
Neither other fans, players, Michael Carrick, the Recruitment Team nor Steve Gibson, deserve to be treated with the evident utter contempt.
Idealism is fine, but feet on the floor and weathering the storm requires balls and character.
We have to suck it in, put the teddies back in the pram, get behind the whole club and support the lads.
Constructive criticism is welcome, but if you believe shouting and yelling is going to solve the issues - you will be disappointed.

Lets hold it together.

A man after my own heart, great post.

Supporters are entitled to there opinion too, they spend hard earned money to go and watch the boro which aint cheap in this current financial climate. They are been treated too utter garbage and nonsense from the club not only on the pitch but off it too. Who is actually in charge or running this club because at the minute it is in massive decline. I think the problem is someone will post a thread and share there opinion and you will get a rose tinted can't say anything bad about the boro user who will instantly try and dismiss there opinion as nonsense, you should know roofie you do it yourself.

I was really disappointed yesterday. We were nowhere near good enough.

We have lost players who we developed last season. They didn’t arrive as established championship players, we turned them into being that.

We have to give the team time to do that again. Some of them have only just arrived.

I didn’t feel much like posting after the game. The board was too agitated and hostile to participate.

Disappointed, yes. Calling for sacking, shaming and dropping? C’mon…

There’s a difference between constructive criticism to spouting pure crap and the majority of posts on here yesterday was the latter.

Good post.

The biggest disappointment and concern for me is how quick the fans are turning. I have been to every game this season so far (Blackburn will be the first I miss due to a holiday clash) and it has been hard going but we all accepted it was going to be hard. The squad is in a transition period.

It is clear that we are working under constraints. That will be hard for Carrick, Woodgate, coaching staff, Scott, Gibson and also for fans.

But fans are part of this - if we create toxicity it will make the situation worse. Yesterday was pretty toxic to be honest. We have a role to play and part of it is patience and support.

I agree with roofie but I’ll say again all our new signings are untested at this level or even in this country that’s big concern.

This is our team minus maybe Forrs and djiksteel we have no top strikers waiting in the wings

Exactly this!! Like I put on another post yesterday we have to give Carrick and the team time. Yes it's a disappointing start to the season, but if this season is just about geling this young team together than so be it.
Yes we've lost some great players...but after the way they all played last season it was obvious they were going to put themselves in the shop window over the summer.
I understand fans are disappointed and yes they do have their right to criticise but there is a big difference between constructive criticism and openly being vitriolic
