Not seen it for years but used to be part of my pre match ritual in the mid 90s
Its had its day mind. It was always built on very low level sexism etc, which in the 90s and 00s was both accepted and, at the time, funny and easy to watch with a Saturday morning hangover before the match. But they've been flogging a dead horse for at least 12 years now.Not seen it for years but used to be part of my pre match ritual in the mid 90s

That is a real shame.Just seen that the slot will be taken by that 'Saturday Social'.
If they got Lovejoy and Chamberlain back maybe. They should do Soccer PM.. like a naughtier version.
Like when they had Baywatch and then Baywatch ‘nights’
Yeah, it’s got all of David Baddiel’s smugness without any of Frank Skinners.. wit and humour.. joyIf they got Lovejoy and Chamberlain back maybe.
I quite liked Fantasy Football League when it first came back but even that, after 16 episodes, is basically done now.
Not a bad summary that.Yeah, it’s got all of David Baddiel’s smugness without any of Frank Skinners.. wit and humour.. joy

In a weird way it almost feels as if football takes itself too seriously now for comedy to be part of it. I'd be happy to see a Quickly Kevin Will He Score experiment on telly, then you could at least get some of the 90s characters on telling stories about the stuff that used to be funny that they wouldn't get away with now.
Yes, I actually thought they'd get folk the original FFL fans would know. But it seems to be musicians from the modern era, and Jennifer Saunders pretending to be a die hard United fan!FFL seems to rotate through the same 3/4 guests on repeat every week!
