Came on as a sub and scored twice in the last 10 minutes after Bernie had given us the lead. Cod roe everywhere!!I remember Marc North putting us to the sword in the FA Cup at Ayresome, I think we were top half or close in the top flight, they were 2nd bottom in the 4th.
Best possible draw for us, both SU and BR will be thinking they can win that, full teams out and 1 one will have more fixture congestion in April.
As it took your mind off writing a coherent 2nd paragraph perhaps?Well one of our close rivals will be in an FA Cup semi final at Wembley.
I can only think this is a good thing for us, not only because it’s another game to play but the that will certainly take their some of their concentration off league games in and around that semi final.

Two, but who’s countingwas only one extra word
Their ball - and only their ball - is frozen before it is put in the bag/drum, so it is always known which is them so it can be left alone by the away “picker”.How do Man U get so many home draws?
Totally agree…sheff utd always fail to impress me when watching them. Rag tag bunch with two stand outsIts not so much the distraction, its playing mid week - weekend - mid week that affects performances - as we found out in 1997.
Injuries/knocks have less time to heal and are picked up more. More cards are picked up too. Fans need more cash to get to games. I remember in 2006 we could not sell out our allocation for a FAC semi final at Villa Park, fans were running out of cash after UEFA games.
I do think top 2 is still very much a long shot, but not quite as long as it was.
