Youtube app for tablets

Our iPad is quite old now and the YouTube app no longer works on it. Are there any cheap tablets that run the YouTube app, and preferably the YouTubeKids app as well? It will only be used for the YouTube apps and a few children’s games, jigsaws etc.

I looked at the Amazon Fire tablets but apparently they only run an Amazon version of the YouTube app (I’m not sure if it’s any different from the proper YouTube app, whether there are fewer videos or summat) There seems to be a way to get the proper YouTube app but it means faffing about to download GooglePlay Store then downloading it from there.

So, I’m just wondering if anyone can recommend a relatively basic tablet with which the YouTube apps clan be downloaded to. Cheers 👍🏻

You can sideload the Google Play store onto the Fire tablets easily and from there the app world is your oyster.
The Fire HD 10 has a great screen for video consumption.

I looked into side-loading Google Play store onto an Amazon Fire tablet and it seemed like a load of faffing about. It’s probably a piece of pîss for most people but I’m the least technically-savvy person in the world. 😀

thanks for the suggestion though, it’s appreciated 👍🏻
