Your remember I posted about The Wire

Seem to remember it flying under the radar a bit during its original run - poor TV audiences and getting snubbed at the major awards. One of the best programs I've watched from the US and came around the same time HBO were producing top quality TV like Carnivale, The Sopranos, Rome and Deadwood.
 
Amazes me that I have never completed the Wire .. I have spent time watching the first few episodes then never getting back to it either distracted or whatnot. I think it's time I give it a good blast ... take it I'm in for a treat ... been desperate for a good series to watch for a long time.

Been waiting for what seems like ages for the final Ozark season and of course mainly, Better Call Saul season 6, the final season where we get 18 episodes instead of ten. Find out what happens to Gene Takavic (Saul Goodman) after he is made by that cab driver in the teaser clips it shows you in seasons 4 and 5 ... it's been just superb. I love Bob Odenkirk.. Cracks me up and Breaking Bad was saved by him coming into the second series, or it would never have run any more seasons IMO.

Loved the first 4! I wasn't as impressed by the final season. Mcnulty storyline in particular was ludicrous.

The Wire is a slow burner to start with, stick with it through the 1st half of the 1st series and you'll be hooked (y)
 
Didn't really like 2nd series but 3rd and 4th were great. 5th was just a bit bizarre with the Mcnulty storyline. I'm sure that 5th series was impacted by some of the writers strike in the 00s.
