Your first choice signings for the positions required

I’ll start with mine, if we get 2 or 3 of them I’d be happy enough, here’s my Christmas list.

Left Sided Centre Back - Jacob Greaves (Hull)
Centre Midfielder #1 - Hamza Choudhury (Leicester)
Centre Midfielder #2 - Callum O’Hare (Coventry)
Forward #1 - Rodrigo Muniz (Fulham)
Forward #2 - Adam Armstrong (Southampton)

All players we’ve been linked with, don’t think we’ll get all of them, but as I said, I’d we got 2 I’d be happy, Greaves and Armstrong would be my top 2 I’d say.
 
I think the below are realistic, think all talk of Gyokores and Armstrong has quitened down as isn’t realistic

LCB - Greaves
LCM - Callum Styles
RCM - Hannibal
CF - Rodrigo Muniz
CF - Emile Riis

Think we will sign Hannibal and Muniz but think the other 3 will probs be other players with Hoppe being the other striker

Sounds like Burnley lead the chase for Callum O’Hare with Coventry lining up Derby County’s Louie Sibley as a replacement.

Probably because he’s unproven in this league. Don’t get me wrong I’ll give him a good chance to do well for us, can’t be any worse than Connolly/Balogun, but seeing the likes of Gyökeres and Armstrong signing would fill me with more confidence

For me, it was because I see him as the weakest of a 5 if, and it is a big if, Watmore is to be let go. He is a risk for me were he to be expected to be contributing week in week out. He might be a project. Whatever happened at Mallorca I don’t know & I guess I don’t know much about him either. I don’t see him hitting the ground running goals wise in the Champo.

I chose the 3 strikers I did because I think it is as well as we could reasonably hope for given the style we play, goals they’d bring, they all have experience of the league but to get all 3 would be like adding DRS to our promotion bid. Forss would be a useful compliment to that 3 and he looks a good finisher when opportunities arise. Gyokeres may still end up in the PL though, possibly even at Fulham (maybe). However, the key would also be getting the right M/f’s and Greaves in. As much as I would be pleased with Choudhury, he looks settled with family life in the midlands so doubt he’d come in truth. Could McNair cover Howson, I’m not so sure.

The manager has said we need to replace Tav, so Styles is the best I can think of for the left side. Mcgree is a number 10, not a Tav replacement. We haven’t replaced Payero, a right footed 8, so unless we have a youngster, I guess thats where the talk of Hanibal/Garner come from.

With luck, money and good planning this could be our best window in years.

I think we lack a bit of height in the squad, we may address that , edit - I have addressed that in my choices up front . Larsen and Hoppe are big lads but don't have the experience .
